Please help organize ABC boycott

Glenn, an earlier poster had a great idea--boycoot ABC for the month of May, sweeps month--this is the only way to force some kind of change. I'm not sure how to organize this or what group might best serve as a clearinghouse for this kind of thing. Suggestions?

time for an organized boycott

I think the time is ripe for a MSM boycott, a formal one with a signed petition. We can start with ABC, since they are the latest offender. While it's true that a lot of us have weaned ourselves away from the MSM, they still have way too much sway over how issues are framed and there are still too many people who are affected by their lies. Remember the effect of the Swiftboat crap! An economic backlash against ABC/Disney WILL have some impact. I watched the Sunday shows today to see what the reaction would be to the debate debacle and the more it looks like Obama will be the candidate, the more the knives are coming out. It didn't appear that any of the Sunday participants, with the exception of Eleanor Clift, had even looked at polls on the debate, which completely demolish the MSM arguments on "Bittergate" "Debategate" or whatever--Sam, Cokie, Tim et all are still misrepresenting and ommitting. They are absolutely committed to maintaining the status quo and their own tax cuts. I find it hard to believe that these jerks believe a word they are saying. I heard Sam Donaldson natter on about how "what voters care about is the character of the candidate"--this is recycled Bush-is-a-regular-guy drivel!

The latest NYT revelation is part of the iceberg. We need to elect someone who will expose and investigate this chicanery, who will restore the law about media balance that Reagan dismantled. Obama should give a main speech about the media, pointing out their lies, propaganda and ommissions and how MSM figures personally profit from this lying. He has nothing to lose at this point.

please...

I live in Harlem--I walk past Clinton's office twice a day--I have never seen him or any evidence that he's been there. He only took the space in Harlem because the midtown office he wanted was deemed too expensive by whatever gov committe decides these things.

Maybe you live in the boonies where you never actually see celebrity types. Here, in NYC, when a president or former president is around, there are lots of Town Cars, lots of secret service people, neighborhood people hanging out waiting to catch a glimpse, etc.--it's actually quite easy to tell if a VIP or politico is around. And yes, if over a period of four years I have never seen any evidence of this type to indicate Clinton is actually at his office, then I do feel safe in assuming he's NOT around.

I think given the law of averages and Clinton's penchant for hanging out with the locals, I would have seen some evidence--it's not like all those Secret Service cars can park in an underground garage or that Bill would dash out the office in a disguise and rush past people into a waiting car--I'm not pretending to be a "city slicker" or talking out my ass--why the nasty attitude? Are you feeling sad that HRC and her husband are proving to be such losers?

Hey, I WAS interested in confriming that I was right so I stopped by 55 125th St. yesterday evening and talked to the security guy(who is there 6 days a week) and guess what? I WAS right--no surprise there--he hasn't seen Clinton in nine months and says he's almost never there. So nice of me to take the time to find out for sure what was completely obvious to anyone except the most deluded Clinton supporter.
