a killer

You think he was a great guy? Did he abjure the use of war and killing to achieve his ends? No, he did not, so not in my book.

this article was mostly a load

You blame Aniston for falling for co-stars and let Pitt and Jolie off the hook? What was right about Jolie stealing another woman's man in the first place? But that doesn't bother you either apparently. I'll tell ya what the real problem was with Pitt. He wasn't in love with Jennifer, but with Rachel Green (her character on Friends). When Friends ended, Jennifer gradually stopped being her in her real life and became herself. Pitt, who is an actor after all, should have known better. But I suppose it makes you feel better somehow about your own failures when by criticizing a top actress who is making 25 mil a year when you're not.

Original article: Those ignorant atheists

you must remember this:

anytime a leader can say that he did something because a supernatural being told him to do so, he can do any awful thing, without limit. Put that in your "religion is useful" pipe and smoke it.

It happened here in California.

Tyra exposed herself

She is not comfortable with the media herself, which permitted her to find common ground with these trailer trash. Btw., speaking of trailer trash, did you see the trash fashions she put on to make them feel more at home?

For someone trying to be a talk show host, she is strangely uncomfortable with the media. I hear she even goes and edits her Wikipedia entry every day to make sure nobody says the least little thing she doesn't want in there -- can you say control freak? What I'm wondering is how much longer people will tolerate her snooping into everyone's private life while refusing to divulge even the most basic facts about her own.

You need to understand how Wall St. works

You buy on the expectation and sell on the news. That's all it is and you don't need to read anything deeper into what happened than that.

I'm a Democrat and totally disagree.

This is completely wrong. What'd he do? Spread some charisma and accomplished absolutely nothin'. You don't even know what he and Putin said to one another. We in this world have to get away from this charisma thing and start choosing leaders who know how to get far-reaching and complex things done, who know how to foresee the future and who are organized. This slipshod, half-assed Clinton/Dubya type of approach doesn't work anymore. Our problems created by these guys are too large. Besides, historically, these charismatic guys like Hitler, Mao, Jesus, they always get us into trouble anyway. It's time to move on.

"a better future"?

Like what? Seriously. What did you have in mind? Don't just make an offhand comment like that and chop off the other half.

You are undoubtedly the worst TV writer I've ever encountered

Your points are ridiculous. You must have such an idiosyncratically individual taste that you're absolutely no use to anyone else as a reviewer.

Those old games like Yahtzee and Monopoly are total crap

BOOOORING! If you want to get them away from the video games, get into the new brand of games coming out from Rio Grande, Mayfair, Z-Man, Out of the Box and others. Some titles are Settlers of Catan, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Blokus and others. You can read more about these at sites such as

Don't you whippersnappers know how to read the NYT? I mean you, Glenn Greenwald.

They have always put the Administration's version in as the lede (yes, that's the correct spelling). Probably always will. Only further in the article do they question the veracity of it. It's called "being the newspaper of record". If you want to find out the truth then you must, as Michael Moore points out, read the NYT from back to front.

Surprised I need to tell you about this.

I thought Salon reached a new low with that one.

The bottom in fact. There are so many important things to discuss. Why are people wasting time with such stuff? Leave it to the bloggers.

I think you're confused about something. Let me help.

This is not a Senate matter. This a Democratic party matter. Obama is the head of the Democratic party.

Original article: Let it snow

Which has been worse in this series:

the officiating or the announcing? Very tough call!

The umpiring gaffes are obvious so let me highlight some of the announcing problems. On the bad call at first base, when Howard caught the ball barehanded, why didn't the announcers mention that the reason the call was blown was that the umpire's view of the play was totally blocked by Howard's body? Clearly he couldn't see the catching of the ball and must have just taken a guess and hoped he was right.

In this most recent game, they kept talking about how play of 4 and a half innings makes the game official and how if it ends with the Phillies leading they win. Yeah, but since this is the Series who cares -- they will simply suspend and play it out anyway.

Consider James Madison

He never left the United States and despite his genius work in the Constitution, was a poor and parochial (provincial) president because of it.

Travel abroad and experience with other cultures is absolutely essential.

Besides, don't you find that people who have never traveled are so much more boring?

Original article: Your daily Palin

Relax your paranoia folks

She's not the new W; she's actually the new Dan Quayle and you see how far he got.

Saturday, October 18, 2008 12:10 PM

I'm pretty sure I know what happened.

They needed to do an in-depth on her as, after all, she might become the new first lady. So they thought they would see if there's any previously undisclosed dirt. Not having found any, they had to just publish the old stuff because of the need to justify all the money spent on sending the reporters on this goose chase.
