VINYLT , YOU WROTE: “... Grampa White Pow'r began screaming, red-faced, that he wouldn't dare "come down to Georg-ie and say that!" Why did your response to Jessoneil remind me of that, I wonder?”
And Fadrian, you wrote: “People who believe in supreme beings with no proof other than their own faith are misguided at best and, at worst, deluded and out of touch with reality.”
Vinyut: My point is that Jessoneil is a coward that he is used to going after Christians and Jews with impunity but would never, ever put his life or his loved ones lives in danger by pulling that “religions are bad” crap with a devout Muslim. Why, because he and you and I know that a Muslim might just put a big fat bullet in his head. Fair? No, not at all. A lot of liberals do this now-a-days, blast Christians but don’t even mention Muslims. My challenge is to find one of you guys who is really brave, doesn’t just talk the talk, no, actually walks the walk. Actually blasphemies Allah (something I would NEVER, EVER do even though I am a Christian). And does so in the middle of a Muslim country. Does so LOUDLY. If your liberalism belief is strong I would suggest you put it to the test. Else, your just another phony hypocrite and a pussy to boot.
Fadrian: Definition, Religion: "A specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects."
You are obtuse. You believe, really believe that there is no God. That’s a religion. You are a man of your convictions, great, but you appear to be just as devout as the most devout Christian, Jew, Muslim, whatever. Don’t you see that? Humans must have religion whether it’s God or Gaia or the State or nothing. I don't agree with your beliefs, at all. I think you are "misguided at best and, at worst, deluded and out of touch with reality. And people like this have far too much power in this world." (Fadrian, Salon, 11/20/2009).
Jessoneil's wrote: "Religion F--k J---s!
F--k M-----d! F--k M---s! F--k All myths and superstition! 21-Century, people. We know all religions are false. Faith is belief without evidence or reason, how could that possibly be something of value?" — jessoneil
Hey jessoneil: You got balls boy, but only behind that PC keyboard. I bet you don't REALLY have balls though. I bet you are really a big pussy. I bet $1,000 you won't say that in Yemen or Saudi Arabia or Afganistan or any Muslim country. Even a devil-boy like you knows you would get your head taken off in a heartbeat. I would watch even what you write about Islam and certainly watch what you say in public. Far more noble and brave people than you have been killed for far less than your hateful words.
I have to hand it to Oprah, she knows how to run a business. I don't blame her for getting out. How much $ do you need? It's not the $ in the end, it's TIME! No one can buy time, you can't get it back.
Great job, Oprah, I wish you well.
Obama and the Dems have lost the independents and this is very, VERY bad for the DNC. Real bad. This could be an absolute bloodbath for them in 2010. Unemployment is 10.2% now and going, by all reasonable estimates, to the dizzy heights of over 11%. On top of that Obama is liked but no one is liking the Dems in congress right now (in all fairness no one really likes the Repubs either). Most times America seems to like it when one party rules one house and the other party the other house. So, I think that's the way it's gonna go. Nancy might just be passing that gavel. No so with Harry but Harry might not be there anyway. As things get worse (FAR worse) Obama will start to become a piraha, an untouchable.
Mike Madden has this wrong. Like it or not the GOP will gain by doing nothing, just sitting on their asses. If you don't think this is fair tough shit. THe Dems do the same exact thing. I think 2008 was a fluke and Obama got in because he was NOT Bush. Let's face it 2008 should have been Hillary's year and even I, a right-winger, am beginning to think she would have done a better job.
But we have what we have and you have to know this much, always remember this much, if nothing else in every election this is the top line for any party in America:
It's the economy, stupid.
