I remember when Bill Clinton led us through 8 years of peace and prosperity. This was considered a dark and horrible time by conservatives. Then Bush was installed and the peace and prosperity thing ended with a thud in no time flat. War, recession, bank failures, you knwo, good times as far as conservatives are concerned.

Now Barak Obama is getting the economy on track and working to remove one of the huge barriers to US productivity, our outdated and ineffective insurance system. These are indeed the end times for conservative thought, and they are acting accordingly.

How can America compete against the rest of the world when we are saddled by the 30% of the population that is so against the US succeeding?

I am bored with the total anti-Israel tone to the GG work for the past while. It isn't that I love Israel, it is that the 10,000th time you hear someone complain, you lose interest.

With health care and Afganistan GG should be able to come u with another topic. How about no Israel bashing for a month? Can GG do it?

Obama wants to play the centrist, and my main reason for being strongly Obama is that McCain picked Palin as a VP. Obama is much better than Bush, but that is damning him with faint praise. I hope that the progressives in congress push real reform through, but they are fighting a strong tide of money.

If Obama really wanted to push a good health care package through, he could. We will see.

Military recruiters are the lowest form of liars on the planet. This is nothing new. Letting recruiters into schools is akin to letting sex offenders into kindergartens.

So, who will Zac Efron play? Wolverine? I suggest that they bring back Brittany Spears and Miley Cyrus for some superheroic adventures.

Aside from Barnie Frank, the dems just let the republicans say stupid stuff without countering it. Only when the dems call the stupid people stupid do they have much of a chance. The dems are too polite to use harsh language. The republicans do not labor under this overly-polite handicap.

Obama has been working hard not to accuse people of racism or cast opponents in a racial light, and for good reason. For Carter and Mondale to bring it up gives the right the ammunition they need and undermines Obama's efforts.

I have to say that my respoect for Jimmy Carter is in the toilet, and I never had much for Mondale in the first place.

American politicians say what they are paid to say, and oil companies want the ones they own to say that global warming is a hoax. I hope this helps.

I think the general fear of vaccines comes from a breakdown in the system of assuring people that drugs are safe. Let's face facts, the FDA and many other federal agencies have not been the most honest for the past 8 years. Drug companies are known to sell poison for a profit and hide the studies that show that their drugs kill people.

I don't consider jenny McCarthy to be amazingly reliable, but I can understand why a lot of people don't believe the government's side either. My personal test for safety is how the drug is treated in Europe.

I hope that the old music industry tanks ad the Internet levels the playing field. Good bands that couldn't get into the old system can thrive while boy bands that need machines to keep them in tune can go away. Yay!
