Thankyou.

I believe this is the first time I have read one of your posts. It certainly won't be the last. Thank you for shining a light into the dark, tangled undergrowth of this "administration." All kinds of things will apparently be squirming away, and it's disgusting and humiliating for the American public to look upon. Keep your flashlight batteries well charged, please!

What an eloquent response.

Each time I read of another American overcome with "sputtering outrage" I am comforted. Anger management is a personal problem, to be sure, but America needs more folks with this problem. Thankyou, "Anger Issues."

The problem we grapple with is anger, but the solution is not, as you so eloquently expressed, Mr. Tennis. The outcome of our prideful national response to 9/11 reveals it all.

I see the only longterm answers -- and the only balm to anger and grief -- in what we teach our young. What are the lessons here? What must we now learn? To be healthy, savvy, skeptical analysts of ALL information. To hold fast to our open minds, faith in ideas, faith in reason, belief in intelligent pragmatism, and above all, belief in the vital importance of an open and truly democratic America, something we are in peril of losing.

Thank you for this inspiring post, Mr. Tennis.

Original article: The Sarah Palin pity party

If there was sound, you'd hear me clapping for you.

Ms. Traister, BRAVO. You have so eloquently articulated all the raging injustice I have been feeling since Palin's Vice Presidential bid was announced. As a woman/community activist/school board member/job-holder/mom of a special needs child, Sarah Palin has had me FUMING for weeks, andyou have expressed all the reasons why so much better than I ever could (not for lack of trying). Thank you.

bleeding-heart pride

Attached is a link to a blog post I wrote in September: "I am a Bleeding Heart Liberal."

Time to redefine the term through real things, through positive action and integrity of principle. Public perception of the term will gradually change, not through marketing-style quibbling, but through the public seeing "liberal/progressive" principles in action to help people and strengthen our country. Act, and the term's meaning will follow along.
