  • Interesting.

[Read the article: So much for my happy ending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If a woman (or man) wants to pay for sex (and get a massage in the profess) that's fine. Just as long as she realizes that what she (or he) is doing is a form of prostitution (IOW paying for sexual favors).

  • About control

[Read the article: So much for my happy ending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

When men want a massage with a little something extra, it is shamed by women into becoming something dirty and illegal, being relegated to seedier parts of town and Thai 'massage' pits.

But when women want something like this, they just saunter right into any legitimate massage parlor and are treated like it is perfectly ok.

I EMPHASIZE, this is women being hypocrites about this. Because I do not see legit parlors providing this service to men.

IMO, it's because women want the freedom to do what they want while limiting that freedom for their husbands or boyfriends. It's all about the jealous, contolling nature of women.

  • No

[Read the article: So much for my happy ending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

So when you say this you mean that if an average woman made a play for an average massage therapist or any other average guy ten times she'd have a, what, 80-90% success rate where as a guy would have 20-30%?

I would say the chance for an average guy who made a play for an average woman (or average message therapist) would be 5-10%, not 20-30%.

  • LOL!

[Read the article: McCain advisor's new message on Iraq: Obama's just like Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This is hysterical. The guy who is ON TAPE saying he supports the Iraq war and who voted with his boy-king 95% of the time in 2006 and 2007 is trying to paint Obama as similar to Bush? Poor St. McCain is so desperate he really will say anything to get elected.

  • holding the majority is all that matters

[Read the article: Political harmony v. the rule of law: an easy choice for the political establishment]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Of course political harmony is totally more important than the rule of law. It's why the Democrats ran an an anti-Iraq war vote. It's also why these "anti-war" Democrats refused to defund the war after they won the majority in the House and Senate. IOW, they would rather play it safe and win more seats in 2008 than do their job.

  • Big deal

[Read the article: More bad news for McCain on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

St. McCain, like Dick(head) Cheney, knows what's best for the country, even if that means ignoring American voters. Like Cheney, St. McCain says "So?" when confronted with the fact that polls show that 60+ percent of Americans want a timeline to pull troops out of Iraq.

  • Offend Carla Bruni?

[Read the article: Obama's political brilliance in Berlin]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Did Obama say something indecent to Carla Bruni? Or did he slip up and call her sweetie? If there is a Carla Bruni scandal between her and Obama, I would like to informed. At the very least, Salon would then be able to top Drudge.

I didn't think one could offend a woman with Carla Bruni's scandalous history.

  • Another thing Batman and the Shrub have in common ...

[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

is both are deeply disturbed psychologically. Batman/Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered, whereas Bushie abused cocaine and alcohol and he was stupid and anti-social to begin with.

  • "The surge worked."

[Read the article: McCain's embarrassing assertions on the Iraq surge]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Hold on grandpa McCain, but there still hasn't been political reconciliation, which was the whole point of the surge, right?

  • Real reason vs. stated reason

[Read the article: McCain's embarrassing assertions on the Iraq surge]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Re: "..which was the whole point of the surge, right?"

    No.

The purpose of the surge was to buy the Bush Administration a year's worth of slack, so the mess could be dumped on another president. In that it has worked perfectly.

Well of course it was to buy Chimpy McFlightsuit enough time to dump this war off on the next president whom the neocons will blame for the mess. I was referring to the reason that the Bushies stated, which was to give the Iraqi government enough "breathing space" to do reconcile and do its job.

  • Still disturbing

[Read the article: Rove map shows Obama beating McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I find it disturbing that McCain still polls close to Obama despite all that has happened in the last eight years, McCain's continuous gaffs on foreign policy, and his flip-flopping on almost every issue.

  • This is dead.

[Read the article: House panel votes to hold Rove in contempt]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Nancy "Impeachment is off the Table" Pelosi will not bring this up for a full vote in the House.

And even if she did, which she won't, Mukasey's U.S. attorney won't pursue the matter anyway.

  • Is anybody surprised?

[Read the article: 87 percent of Fox News viewers plan to vote McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This new poll was a waste of time. I would think that everybody knows that Fox News viewers are mostly rightwingers who still wouldn't vote for a Democrat if he/she was the only choice. They are ideologues who are spoonfed inaccurate "news" stories from "Fox & Friends" and other fake Fox News shows.

  • What we do when we are young and dumb.

[Read the article: Should I tell my boyfriend's wife about our affair?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If I were you, I would probably tell his wife so she doesn't waste any more time and money on this guy. Then, I'd grow a brain and a backbone.

  • An insecure man with anti-social tendencies.

[Read the article: The strange smile of George W. Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bush's smirk and this weird smile are, IMO, his way of overcompensating for massive inferiority issues he has had his entire life. I mean, it's hard not to feel insecure when you're dumber than everybody in the room.

  • Conventional warfare vs. policing

[Read the article: Illusions of victory under Bush]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I think a big part of the reason Iraq turned into a quagmire is the fact that King Dumbya considers counterterrorism the job of the military.

In fact, studies have shown that intelligence agencies and police forces are more successful at apprehending or killing terrorist leaders at much less cost than a full military campaign and occupation. However, a war makes a lot more money for the the neocon-friendly corporations that make up the military industrial complex.

  • Angry but not surprised.

[Read the article: Bush officials sneak-attack nation's wildlife]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This last move by the Chimp and his henchmen and women does not surprise me in the least. Since when has this man-child done anything that did not enrich his base, expand the powers of the president, subvert scientific reports, or weaken environmental regulations?

I say Bushie is the worst president in the history of the United States not because of his disaterous foreign policy, but because he has no respect for the rule of law or the will of the people. Heck, he has no respect for life outside of his immediate family.

All Chimpy cares about are his corporate masters and the 28% who would follow him off a cliff into Hell.

  • The anti-Midas!

[Read the article: Bush officials sneak-attack nation's wildlife]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bush the anti-Midas. That's perfect, because everything he touches turns to shit.

  • McCain's mistake

[Read the article: Barack Obama breaks 50]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Not only is Obama's bounce a result of Palin's inexperience, but I believe there are many independants and conservative Democrats who are turned off by her fundamentalist views.
