@DurianJoe

I agree with DurianJoe totally.

Plain speak like she said: The LW husband is a Bum.

Who in his right mind in this time & economy would think of flying with angels and going hungry instead of riding with the humans and putting food on the table.

My suggestion?

Put out a clear ultimatum: He Gets a money-paying job within 20 days or else you leave him with your kid.

What a bum!

Creativity is fine, but when the times are hard you don't go painting like a Picasso when it brings nothing to the table. As a married man, your FIRST job is to make sure your family is safe, economically. If that involves shutting out your "creative" side, suck it up and do it.

Isn't he ashamed of himself?

@Yminale

You are right on target.

What people don't realize that tactical losses for GOP always invariably translate into strategic victories, since Democrats are clueless.

In a few years time, Bush would be as revered as Truman, his pathetic history long erased from public memory.

Until democrats learn to stop playing defense and go onto utterly defeat GOP at every plane, stage and election, the GOP zombie menace will continue to reign its head.

Unfortunately no one in Democrats has either the strength, intelligence or perseverence to do this.

Why?

As much as we want Cheney be sent to a Federal Prison, is is NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Get Real guys.

When has a superpower nation sent one of its leaders to prison for breaking the law?

Britain promoted piracy (on high seas: for those of you newbies who think it means music) and even awarded the pirate with medals.

Guderian was not punished. Von Manstein was not punished. Hell, the Japanese Emperor was not punished after WW2.

Tell me why should a nation punish its law breaking leaders when it is the SOLE superpower of the world?

@ jebachman Thank you for cleverly diverting attention, let's return back to original question

I must applaud you jebachman for cleverly and insistently diverting attention from the real question of this forum towards 9/11 victims which we all know is a very sensitive area.

Now, that the recess is over, shall we get back to the original discussion?

The question of whether Cheney should be prosecuted for violating the laws of the land.

Now lets' examine the issues on hand:

1) Cheney took an oath to defend and protect the US constitution. (Contrary to what you & cheney think, it is NOT a piece of paper).

2) The US Constitution consists of laws that specifically outlaw Torture.

3) Cheney during his [vice] presidency, constantly said in public, that he did NOT authorise actions that broke laws, including but not limited to torture.

4) Post the cheney [vice] presidency, the new president's staff uncovered signed memos and orders sent to military signed by Cheney ordering them to break US laws.

5) Cheney himself, in public view once again, agreed and acknowledged the fact that he authorised torture.

So, now we have written proof, self-incrimination in public, and investigation reports that Cheney broke the US law, that he swore to defend and to protect.

You claim that his torture prevented more 9/11, and that we talk to victims of 9/11 why Gitmo inmates should not be tortured, blah blah...

Nope. That is NOT the point of discussion here.

The question is whether Cheney broke the law.

The answer is : YES. It has been proven beyond doubt and confessed by Cheney himself (no, he was not under pressure to admit guilt), that yes he authorised torture.

So, your arguments and actions to divert attention away from the real topic has been nullified.

I know you are a Republican, having been brought up by Karl Rove and fed by Cheney. This is what you people excel at. And bravo, you almost achieved it.

Unfortunately, there are many more saner people like me who did not refuse to your bait and forced you to face facts.

Care to respond?

Original article: I want a baby really badly!

Try Babysitting in these situations to see if you are really ready for a baby

1) When you are famished and are about to wolf down the juiciest steak or burger and mouth watering fries to accompany it, rush down to change the poop-filled diaper on your neighbor's baby/babysitting baby.

2) When you are in a very romantic mood, and the smell of popcorn & scented candles fill a hot room with your BF while watching "Walk in the Clouds", rush to feed a baby bottled breast milk, soothe it for 30 mins to burp, and put it to sleep.

3) When you are in an ABSOLUTE hurry to the DMV to renew your license or pay the latest traffic fine, stop and play with the pleading baby for 15-20 mins WITHOUT making a face.

4) When you want to fall dead at the end of a very hard, hard day and all you need is a hot soak in the tub and climb into bed, dinner be damned, try to smile and hurry up feeding a 3-year kid with solid formula food while he shrieks and runs around in playful activities around the house.

5) When your boss chewed you out because of falling sales or some office jerk blurted out your name for some fault, and you come home angry to lash out, and the first thing that invites you is a million-dollar smile and outstretched arms of a wonderful, beautiful kid, and you forget everything that happened...

If you can manage ALL these activities without shirking or lashing out at your BF/baby for one month, try doing it again for one more month, and one more month.

Then you are ready for a baby, or you would swear by Lucifer never to have one in your entire life.
