@Akron Mike

What i meant as backstabbing was the way they hung out Spitzer to dry.

Ultimately the Feds dropped the case and Spitzer was not charged.

Will the Dems take him back?

Yes, he paid his OWN money to a girl in return for unspecified services.

Well, the DC madam had diaries full of Republicans. Did Dems attack or investigate those names?

The Dems are more interested in in-fighting than attacking enemies.

In 2010, the Dems face a rout if they keep Nancy as their leader and spineless pork-laden senators amongst them.

Palin is shooting for a 2010 win and will campaign on star power with her 18 yr old daughter claiming it was Obama's insistence on sex-ed in schools that led to her daughter's pregnancy (never mind the fact it is untrue, people will believe anything as long its told by a pretty face).

The Dems only hope is to slavenly obey Obama and keep their mouths shut. Will They?

NOPE. Each one of those Dems self-important idiots does not know the value of team work and cooperation.

Which is why Obama is on the wrong team.

I hope the Dems lose in 2010 miserably, having failed to do bring no republican to justice.

And i will pray for their defeat daily, as that is the only way Nancy can understand what's at stake.

@organicas

Well Said.

Ask him to hang out the washing. After all he's idle.

And marriage is all about sharing the load.

Since he finds time to criticize you, ask him to put up or shut up.

There was an episode like this is in Lizzie McGuire or That 70's show i guess...

Principles and Politics are not the same

Why do you all complain about Politicians not having principles?

Are you all idiots?

Its like expecting a dog to forgo a fresh steak because it "promised" it won't eat meat!

Dumb asses writer. This is big news for you?

Get real you college-fresher.

Politics and Principles DO NOT mingle.

Principles are for fools and soldiers.

Haven't you heard that politicians never die... unless they turn green in their coffins?

You can go ahead and shame and insult GOP governers and stuff, but ultimately remember that politicians have 22" thick armor plating which will deflect any fire and will bounce back at you as a ricochet!

Salon! I didn't pay good money for you to waste screen real-estate to write about the obvious. You continue with this, and am not renewing my membership.

Original article: Past the point of no return

The damage to US will be hard to undo

The damage to US as a whole runs very deep.

80 years of corruption,

changes in medicare that favors ONLY the rich and expects the poor to die,

the crumbling infrastructure where many villages and even towns do not have telephone connections even though AT&T receives federal subsidies to provide them,

the myth of corporate person-hood which enables criminals to escape jail or even hanging by hiding behind the so-called veil of corporate,

the criminal justice system which enables corporates to run jails and buy up senators who can pass bills providing 20 yrs jail for copyright violation by a 13 yr old while providing 3 years jail for a murderer,

the public transport system which was systematically undone by the Big Three which now receive our money,

the currency which was undermined from within by JP Morgan & Co. with their infamous 1913 Federal Reserve Act, so that the government depends entirely on taxation to meet its borrowing from Fed with no reserves,

the education system which is a joke since it is sued to prevent children from being educated on Maths and Sciences and instead places emphasis on bone-breaking sports producing bone-headed idiots like A-Rod, while making college unaffordable to all but trust-fund beneficiaries,

the armed forces which are used as mercenaries by Banana corporations and oil producers to unseat elected and unelected regimes...

I could go on, but am too depressed.

Taking down 80 years of institutionalized corruption will take more than 8 years.

Obama can start the process, and make sure its done that way.

Oh he cannot expect the Republicans to support him, nor Pelosi.

@sonofloud

He would be impeached the same day by a resurgent Republican majority with Rush Limbaugh and O'Reilly leading the mob.

Lets face facts: The Republicans aren't lovin' ya. And the Dems are too much of a pussy to support Obama.

The moment he stops funding Churches, he becomes Osama.

It is far cheaper to fund churches than face an impeachment now and risk Palin as President.

@Old Poor Richard

Denying a patient emergency care and throwing him out of the Hospital BECAUSE of his inability to pay is equal to Murder.

The ability to pay should not be the criteria for medical care.

If that were the case, only the richest can get treatment, while the poor die.

Well, even Hitler's Reich had a better medical plan where everyone was covered.

What you & @terkoy are suggesting is that the a patient can be charged $17,290 for an appendix removal in US, thus earning the hospital a 125% profit.

France, Germany, Canada and UK have NATIONALIZED health care systems.

Their citizens live longer and get better and cheaper medical care than the citizens in US.

Do you deny those facts?

If you deny the facts, you support murder.

if you support the facts, then you support Life.
