Has any congress critter or senator read the complete bill before voting on it?

Nancy Pelosi refuses to hand over copies of the bill to her own party congressmen and senators, yet hands over it to K-Lobbyists.

Now the press is hounding congress and senate on the bill because some of it was leaked to the press. The congressmen are bewildered and can't even know what the press is asking about!

So much for Obama's New Age and New Deal.

I have already lost faith in Obama and this bill.

Most of it is pork anyways, and none of it is Obama's original vision.

Its not even one month before the poor man was elected, and he's already lost control of the Houses.

Goes to show that Republican presidents are Strong and Dems are weak.

Will Obama put it on his website for discussion for 5 days BEFORE voting on it?

You bet your ass, he would not.

Stating same reasons Bush said, he too would close out the whole bill to public view and silently pass it. Then, and only after he has signed it, he would present it on his website.

Dems and Reps are two sides of the same coin.

This bill will bankrupt USA completely and unable to pay its debts.

Well, Russia need not have outspent USA in cold war. It just needed to buy up US debt and call them in when USA is down...

Next year this time, the entire middle class would be living in streets while the rich become the richest ever and will own 98% of all wealth...

In my earlier post, i had doubted whether Obama will out up the bill for public comments before signing it.

Newspapers are the fifth estate.

Subsidizing newspapers cost a lot less than subsidizing a $45 million bonus to an ex-CEO.

Newspapers are still run on traditional business practices: They reward successes, but punish failure, hence the investment can be recouped easily. This is unlike banks where failure is rewarded with multi-million dollar bonuses and success invites dismissal from job. (ask the many number of HR and IT staff of Lehman Bros and AIG)

Hence, it can be proven like theorem that subsidizing newspapers makes much better business sense.

I hugely respect Gen.Petraus.

As a soldier ordered by his commander-in-chief to solve a problem, he solved it loyally without question.

BUT,

The surge is the right way to handle a wrong war.

If the surge were directed to Afghanistan (as Obama did yesterday), Gen.Petraus would have captured or killed Osama by now and we would be having a peaceful Afghanistan.

Of course, Gen.Petraus is not to be blamed for the wrong war. It was not his war.

It was Bush's war.

It was Cheney's war, who wanted to war-profit his company.

Don't blame the tool for the handler.

Gen.Petraus did an excellent job, which he has been tasked.

I whole-heartedly salute him.

Unfortunately, like Gen.Manstein or Gen.Guderian, he fought the wrong war.

If Bush had pushed Gen.Petraus to Afghanistan, he would have succeeded there.

Will Obama do so?

There should be a constitutional amendment:

When the president sends the armed forces thundering into another country, it must have as its soldiers, the sons and daughters of the president, the vice-president and the speaker of the congress.

There would be no more wars and no more cheneys.

The question should be WHY?

Because he was appointed by an impeached Governer?

Because he campaigned for the Governer and raised funds?

Hmmm...

Wasn't Elliot Spitzer conveniently forced to resign just before the Wall Street crash and madoff scandal?

Are Democrats Stupid? Yes, i think.

Karl Rove ignored subpoenas, and Abramaoff broke the law. Cheney broke many laws.

None of them were hounded by either Dems or Republicans to resign.

Why do Dems behave like underdogs and put their tail between their legs and run when Republicans attack them?

Why do they immediately abandon their own kin when he is attacked?

Next you know, the republicans will hound Ms.Clinton and she will be forced to resign.

Don't Dems know that the Republicans operate on a divide-and-rule principle?

If Dems keep backstabbing their own kin, soon they won't have anyone.

I hope Dems realize this and close their ranks against Republicans.

Defense has never been a good choice.

When a leader breaks the law, impeach him. Impeach enough leaders and you will have law-abiding citizens.

Obama is not God.

If Obama does not keep good on his poll promises, he WILL be impeached.

Hope he realizes that quickly.
