Its an oxymoron

"Government can work" is an oxymoron.

From the bungling that was Katrina, to the recent bank bailout, government has always and will continue to stand for unwanted, unexpected largesse to the unneedy.

It has been one pork project after another, culminating in the large banks stealing $350 BILLION of our money blatantly: money that could have shored up Social Security easily.

The best way to ruin something is to let the government be involved.

Obama should force the government to get out of all businesses except Police and Post offices.

Get back the money from banks, from auto companies and shore up the budget.

Pass laws that allow universal health care along France's lines and make it a priority. If Blue Cross objects to it, sic the FBI on it.

Send back the money to tax payers as tax refunds.

The Government IS the problem.

@jimgalt

Congress asks the people

Ask??? Ohhh you are so naive -:)

congress never asks us Untermenchen. They just appropriate our money. That is what a Republic is. In Democracies like Switzerland or heck even California we have referendums whenever taxpayers money is touched. But not congress.

And expecting congress to return back "campaign" funds is like asking a Tiger to be a vegetarian or asking Pamela Anderson to become a nun.

The only answer is equal laws. No special laws for humans and corporates. No special laws for Pentagon spending and IRS audits for us.

If IRS can audit and imprison me for untraceable money, so should the Pentagon be. Once a couple of defense secretaries are convicted by IRS for fraud at pentagon, you will suddenly see Pentagon operating with military effeiciency.

That will not happen within our lifetimes even with Obama.

Join the Military

Join the military.

Gives you a specific goal, and purpose to your life.

Plus once you have been under fire, you will quickly learn the value of life.

@Johnny Chrome

anti-semitic???

You are dumber than you sound.

Probably you would be one of the 23% of the population who still thinks Bush did a wonderful job on the economy AND military.

Go ahead, wave a flag supporting Bush and visit him at Crawford, while your home is being seized by Countrywide for not paying a 150% increase in interest rates. Thank him for THAT!

@Santos L. Halper

I thought USA was a Republic, where, inspite of what Cheney wanted us to believe, PEOPLE choose their leaders every four years. Heck, even Cheney, your Great Leader, said that people get their chance every four years.

So, if a majority of the American citizens chose Obama, how is that Unamerican?

Ok, first of all which America are you talking about?

The America where your friends and everyone you know earn an average of $12 million a year, pay $500K for a Golf Club membership, buy a $1 million yacht to cruise around the Bay, buy $4 million 14-bed room Houses and pay zero taxes?

Or the America where people earn $40,000 a year, cancel digital cable and send their kids to part-time work for their college, cut out coupons every sunday, worry about food stamps and nervously think before buying a second TV marked 70% off?

Because last i saw, the first kind, your kind, seem to be in a minority.

And as per the laws of USA, the majority, meaning the $40K crowd see YOUR Bush and Cheney to be the WORST presidents EVER, and not wanting a repeat of the same fiasco, chose Obama.

Now, if you think that is unamerican, you, dear sir, are probably not an American Patriot, and sure would need to be Gitmo'ed.

@KB4Hire

Not its not Bullshit.

When sweet Pelosi said that impeachment was off the table for high crimes and misdemeanors, what she said clearly to us was:

"Law is for fools like you. We, the congress and the president, are above Law."

USA will NEVER, EVER impeach ANY president who implements a Corporate Agenda: Be that knocking down a Banana republic, or selling arms to Iran, or invading a country based on total lies, or carrying out a coup in a country.

Because, the history of USA has been a long story of invasions, attacks, and war.

This is a country that relishes War and any warmongering presidents.

Especially the hillbillies in the fuckin' South.

That is why Bush or Cheney will never be convicted.

Hell, they would be given a Congressional medal of Honor!

I can guarantee in writing at the cost of $2000, that Cheney will NOT be convicted or jailed, and none of this corrupt administrations officials: Rumsfeld, the former AG, and others would EVER be convicted of ANY crime.

@Old Poor Richard

Only the fact that you hate Bush as much as Obama leaves you from being sarcastically commented upon now.

FYI, Obama clearly is not under the control of the JPM/Rockefeller elite:

1) Campaign contributions were $10 from common citizens. Not milion dollar rich banks.

2) His team is under oath to not be an influence peddler.

3) He has no reason to support the policies of the Rich & Famous because he is not under their thumb (he never received any money from them) at any point of his career.

4) Lastly, he is NOT a Bush.

Original article: It's an Obamanation!

Am i the only one who thinks...

...that we are expecting too much from Obama?

I mean the past 8 years has not exactly been wonderful under Darth Vader and his Boy.

Plus with economy tanking and BushTheAss playing to the super-rich we are desperate for a wonderful leader.

All of this translates into hyper-support and hyper-expectation for Obama.

I mean, if he makes one small mistake, we are bound to pounce on him for failing our expectations...

Am i the only one who feels uneasy and paranoid?

Vacation for you

Go on a vacation for a week. Someplace chilly.

And do nothing there except to curl up and read a book. No TV. Then come back to life.

You will feel a lot relaxed.
