The Republicans should NOT come back

Unless they throw out karl Rove, Bush and Cheney ideals, the Republicans should be NEVER allowed to come back.

Unless they apologize unconditionally for abandoning the voters in favor of moneyed interests, they should be defeated and thrown back at every clawback.

Unless they acknowledge & repent for their 10 years of misrule, lies (like Gingrich impeaching Clinton while having an affair of his own at same time), their support for Ted Stevens, they should NEVER, EVER see or touch power again.

They are the modern National Socialist party with a twist: The Nazi party aimed at Full employment: The Republican party aims at full swindling.

The Republican party has been possessed and hijacked by right wing nut jobs like Ann Coulter (who should pay and receive the Sarah palin's rape kit).

McCain was their one true leader (until he was the Maverick), but these guys broke him just like Vietnam army did. They made him conform to their right-wing ideals and he was clobbered.

Now opposite Rock star Obama they have Sarah Palin: a woman who is Jessica Simpson in $150,000 clothing.

They would be better served by roping in Jessica Simpson and parade these two blonde dumbos on stage...

I, for one am happy the Republican is dead. They should stay that way, and any attempt by them to claw their way back should be curbed by:

1) Weekly sensational exposure of one more corrupt republican. Spitzer one by one all major Republicans. Without a head, they are bound to disintegrate. Leave that job to Emmanuel. He's an expert.

2) Continue to attack them relentlessly: Like Gen patton said: "I don't want to know you are defending any outpost. I want you attacking the Germans. If any defending were to be done, it is to be done by Germans, and not by us." The Democrats should go aggressive and overboard in wiping out Republicans completely.

3) Do NOT allow bi-partisanship on committees. That is a weak spot. The Republicans did not show Democrats any favor during their time of reign. Neither should the Dems now. Feeling sorry for Republicans is like feeling sorry for the Nazi SS.

4) Support Republican mavericks like Ron Paul. They help sow confusion in the camp of the enemy. Refrain from attacking mavericks like Paul or McCain. Rope them into committees of power. Seek their advice. Support them, but not their party. The Republican party is short-tempered. They will throw out Paul rather than change temselves. This will make people hate Republicans more.

In short make life hell for Republicans: Congress investigations, sic the FBI and the SEC on them.

Original article: First lady got back

All you had to write about was her backside???

Reading Salon is like having 7-UP mixed with Grey Goose randomly.

You never know when its going to kick.

Trivializing a perfectly serious person does not do any good to Salon. My God, what were you smoking???

I mean, have you EVER looked at Jacqueline Kennedy???

Stop comparing Michelle with Jackie. They are literally poles apart in every sense: and i mean everything.

Dumb salon editors.

Brilliant coup

People are angry at Dems for allowing back Lieberman. That shows their naivette.

Actually Pelosi and Reid have done a brilliant coup.

Lieberman is a powerful congresscritter/senator. Expelling him would only make him portray himself as victim of democrats autocracy.

By accepting him back to their fold AND allowing him to retain his post the Dems have shown strategic thinking far beyond their years.

Lieberman is now cut down to size and straitjacketed. If he disapproves of ANY democrats steps, he would be qyickly viewed as a traitor by ALL (i cann see Pelosi clucking her tongue in sadness as she says how their prodigal son has betrayed them-:))

If he continues to support Dems, he will be seen as a toadie and a coward by Republicans, effectively burning his bridges there.

If he goes commando/rogue he loses his seat in the elections.

So, he is canned, restricted and screwed shut 3-ways. Brilliant.

Hugging your enemy and setting him up for failure is machivellian beyond anybody.

I love the Dems! This is how politics should be: intrigue, not the partisan brute warfare as pioneered by Republicans.

Dems have Disraeli blood.

Bush has a knack of doing what majority do NOT want him to do.

For past 7 years since 9/11, Bush has a tendency towards the voters and citizens which amounted to: "Damn you all! Am doing what I think is right. Am THE president."

Everytime the press reports that the people wish he does not do something, he goes straight ahead and does it, WITHOUT fearing about consequences or lashback.

Like he said earlier: "I don't care."

So whatever Salon or we may scream, he WILL issue pardons which will exceed the sum of ALL pardons issued by ALL presidents so far and in future. He won't stop because he doesn't care what history thinks or what people think. He is guided by God Himself...

The only thing congress can do is to pass a law retroactively effective that unpardons people whom the President feels should be indicted.

Retroactive laws are not new. After all congress critters passed the Telecom Immunity Bill with retroactive effect.

I loved it. My Son didn't

The weirdest thing about WALL-E is that i loved the movie! I laughed and laughed. My 3 yrs old son looked at me in surprise and gave me a funny WTF look!

He didn't find it funny at all! Yeah he loved the lady robot EVA very much and kept repeating her name.. but somehow he didn't think it was funny.

Guess disney has come of age...
