Original article: Wall Street on trial

Make the markets work

Democrats must start to act like Republicans.

Either my way, or the highway.

State bluntly that either the Federal govt helps the poor tax payers and homeowners, OR, we will let the Big Banks go under.

Simple threat.

Plus go on the offensive much like Newt Gingrich did.

Cry out loud in press and TV that Bush once again wants to take tax payers money and feed it to the money bags in washington.

Appeal to the simple sentiments.

Wage an emotional war.

Put out offensive adverts which show Bush giving away our money to hooded guys (add the saudi guys too).

Of course it will all work ONLY if Democrats and Pelosi had any spine or self-respect.

Dems neither have spine nor any self-respect, so they will cave in again inspite of tremendous opposition by their constituents,

and come november, we will see many Dems lose their seats.

Original article: Where is the outrage?

Not just McCain...BUT the whole media

The fifth estate: The Media is also a HUGE culprit.

Allowing media to be consolidated and owned by huge conglomerates is the worst idea ever to be implemented.

It allowed Editors to be replaced by CEOs and CFO, who obviously consider newspapers/TV/Radio to be another source of income for themselves (they always forget the shareholders).

Nowadays a Pulitzer prize doesn't attract good journalism: stock options do.

The Tricky Dick era press was the last time the press was really free.

If the next American president wants America to be really for the people like it was meant to be from the time George Washington sounded the bugle, the first thing he has to do is to break up the media strongholds. Sic them the monopoly act, pass laws which prevent any party to have a maximum of only 10% voting interest (like in India), irrespective of number of shares held.

Plus make the job of editors similar in power to FBI/Federal Reserve Director: they can't removed by the CEO. They need to be fired by the voting majority: which will involve atleast 8 other majority shareholders.

Lastly pump funds into PBS so that it moves away to quality programming and educating the public instead of letting FOX feed crap to the beer-guzzling low-IQ crowd.

Stop pandering to the public and force-feed the public actual political news and financial education.

Of course this frightens the elite minority (Rockefellers and Morgans), since then the citizens will demand the Treasury stop subrogating its power to issue currency to the private bank: federal reserve.

Am sure long before this happens, the president would be snared in another "Monica-Gate" or Swiftboated into impeachment.

Original article: George Bush's scary story

This bailout will be passed as usual...

Along with other capitulations on Iraq, Drilling and ANWR, the democrats will cave-in on this one and pass a bill allowing $800 billion (yes a $100 B more than required).

Because:

1) The democrats are incapable of making a strong stand at anytime, even when they are right. The past 8 years has made them weak at knees and softened their brains.

2) The fear-mongering has already started by Bush once again throwing words like catastrophic... etc. The public, especially, Texans and South will swallow it all.

3) The press parrots what Bush and Paulson without questioning the need whether a bail out is needed. The corporate-press has put the profit motive more than Pulitzer prizes, so this trend will continue.

4) Both McCain and Obama will joust with each other but will support this bailout. Especially Obama who claims fiscal responsibility, will support this bill unconditionally, thus damaging his image beyond repair. His support for FISA eroded his support, and it will erode more to the point where McCain will get 271 votes in Nov.

5) The people will not organize massive protests like they did during the vietnam war: they are more afraid of losing their jobs and food. Plus students are more interested in fighting RIAA and MPAA while downloading music to worry about "economic crap".

This bailout is Bush's final gift to his corporate supporters. They must love him so much that, once he retires, they will shed real tears and make a monument for him in Gold.

Already the trend has started in democrats. Instead of asking why a bailout is necessary, they are talking how much...

A necessary change has to be that the assets of senators and congressmen should be seized to pay for the bailout. The law should be changed so that whenever a bailout is proposed, the congressmen's personal property should be seized and auctioned off to pay the bailout, plus all their remaining salary and perks should be seized. Only if the money is not enough, should tax payers' money be touched.

If such a law exists, the congress will pounce upon paulson like a starving puma.

But, sadly, the "esteemed" congressmen do not think that way: after all its not their money they are forking out: and politicians have never cringed from spending someone else's money.

One small way voters could "thank" democrats for selling them out is to make sure NO democrat is elected in November. None. This will reduce the majority of spineless democrats and the majority will goto brave, bold, thieves republicans again.

Its better to be governed by a Lion, than a sheep, even if the lion will eat you.

So, citizens, be prepared for another bout of rationing and limiting yoursef to half-bag rice from Walmart, and paying $20 for a pound of potatoes, while your congressmen gorge themselves on Filet Mignon, roasted ribs and salmon...

Welcome to the United Socialist States of America. Where your money feeds us!
