@chiefdeputy

God no. Thank God no.

But am married.

Thankfully my wife doesn't run off on "work" for weeks at a time, refuses to take my calls, refuses to even call me, but uses my money, and then at the end of all does not come home expecting me to apologize to her for her long, tired trip.

Fortunately, for her, enough of your advice about feminism, abuse, etc., would have definitely made some divorce lawyer salivating about his fees.

Instead of helping her, you people made a snap judgement by hearing one side and asked her to move out: Tell me, if she keeps walking out on every marriage because her husband didn't apologize to her, because "she" spent weeks away from home with no phone calls, etc., how will she ever find "true" happiness?

I pity you.

@highland girl

>>...are not huge assholes like you appear to be.

Damn! Why didn't you use this bad word a day earlier? I would have won my bet with my bunk-mate here.

As a psychology student i had made a bet that within a day of railing against feminism, am bound to be called [bad] names atleast by one person.

My lecturer said the other day: Anger=Fear. I just wanted to prove it right, while my bunk/room mate thought anger and fear are two different responses to same stimuli.

What better way to put it to test than rail against feminism than in such a column! All the ingredients were there: wife, husband, troubled marriage, personal anger, said display of anger in an awkward way[the husband is seriously demented], over-possessiveness, unwilling to let go, refusal to deal with real situation, etc.

I knew this would awake the beast in someone: Unfortunately most women were more patient and mature than i thought, unless you came along [sorry, don't mean to insult you or anything, just a psych analysis], I knew it would be a matter of time before anger came ahead of reason due to fear that the opponent may be right, and hence resorting to personal insults is an expression of said fear.

And i was right!!! Thank you, thank you! But it came a day too late: i already paid him 5 bucks since it didn't come a day sooner.

Sorry folks for all the interruption: But thanks for being inadvertent participants in a study.

Thanks once again and for those who kept their cool inspite of my needling: I humbly bow to you. You are much wiser. For those who responded in anger and with insults to boot: chill out! Life isn't always fair.

@HappyJack

You are dead right on target.

The democrats don't deserve to win this or any election for that matter.

Even Biden seems to have more spine than Obama by suggesting criminal investigation of Bush.

The first thing an american appreciates is boldness and standing up for oneself and the worst thing to show is bending backwards and being a coward. You may be good or bad or even ugly, but if you are a coward, you are doomed.

Democrats are essentially cowards: they have been ever since Kerry refused to blast Bush for Swift-boating.

And now by refusing to attack Palin's hypocrisy they have shown that they are the party to lose. Plus add their refusal to recognize people's anger against pelosi, their half-hearted attempts to bring rove to justice, etc.

Am pretty sure Palin and McCain will win this election: i promise to donate $100 to DoctorsWithoutBorders if Democrats are defeated.

Anybody else willing to take up the bet?

The loser donates $100 to doctors without borders charity.

Original article: The culture war: It's back!

Proven psychological studies

The Republicans have studied human psychology thoroughly and are just implementing it.

It all started when fact-spewing senile TV show hosts were thrown out by networks in 1960s and replaced by cud-chewing boobed-bimbos. People loved the bimbos more than facts.

Lets face it: why do comedy movies do extremely well during difficult times: Escapism! Why do war movies do badly during difficult times but do well during Good Times?: Again Escapism! The inability of a human to face an uncomfortable reality when he can substitute it with a comfortable eye-candy is well known.

And that is why Palin was chosen: Oh she was vetted thoroughly: 36-29-38. She is a soccer mom: 80% of women see themselves in her. She is beautiful, dumb and white: 80% of men see her like their wife. perfect choice!

Again Rove has shown he is smart and intelligent by bringing back the republican party from its certain death. He should be knighted for his political acumen.

Obama talks about facts and change: Plus he is not eye-candy and funny to a lot of people. These are anathema to many rednecks and other southerners (plus some mid-west small-town morons). He talks about hard-choices, difficulties, etc. Factually he is an einstein. But people can't relate to him: They would rather see a bumbling bimbo like Palin with whom they can easily relate to and be proud of it!

After all don't we make friends with people who have similar interests like us? Same psychology!

Add to this mixture a slave-press which licks the boots of republican party, rather than reporting facts.

Iam sure Palin will win the elections for Rove this time.

And Rove would definitely be given a Congressional Medal of Honor by GW.

Time to ditch the "factual" wagon and join the bimbo wagon.

God Bless America!

Next time it happens, punch him AND your boy friend

The next this shit happens, punch that guy in face, and punch your BF in face too. Break a nose if possible.

Preferably in aa public place/pub.

You will be cheered, and many will jump in your defense against any retaliation.

and break off from your BF.

Any person who allows others to insult you, will insult you himself.

Dumb asses.

I say, punch him, strongly. If i were you and a woman, i would have punched that ass first time with my fists wrapped around a belt buckle.
