need more then investigations

I think Americans want investigations into this corrupt administration. But they also want more then that, they want real action. Gonzo committed perjury multiple times before congress. It's documented and plain for everyone to see. Why haven't they charged him with perjury? Why haven't they started impeachment proceedings against him? Karl Rove and Harriet Miers refused to obey a subpoena. Yet they have yet to be held in contempt of congress. Same thing with the Bush admin refusing to turn over documents about the warrantless wiretapping program. Leahy says he might consider holding them in contempt. Wow that's impressive. The admin has already said they won't allow the justice dept to proceed with any contempt of congress charges. So unless the dems get serious and use the only real power they have, which is the power of inherit contempt. Have the sargent at arms arrest these people and hold them in the congress's jail. It's all nothing but political theatre.

Don't fall for the trap

All those who fall for shooter's trap, stop. He knows exactly what he's doing. He isn't as stupid as he'd like us to believe. He understands the issues. He purposely makes idiotic arguments just to get attention. Sad really but he's probably a pretty lonely guy. Pity him but please ignore him. He isn't worth responding to.

tricke down effect

I don't believe for a second Zelikow was unaware what his lobbying firm was doing, or who their clients were. While Glenn illustrates how the game works in Washington, it doesn't stop there. What goes on in the Washington Beltway media trickles down to the local level. My local newspaper the Rocky Mountain News ran an article on the calls for Maliki to go. Local papers follow what the Washington Beltway media does. Since they don't have reporters in Washington, they just run what the big boys are saying. So this propaganda gets transmitted all across the country. Iraq would be great, if it wasn't for Maliki. So great the Hillary is helping push that bs narrative. One more reason I won't be voting for her. Thanks Glenn for all your work.

US prepares massive attack

Hey all, check out this article. http://rawstory.com//news/2007/Study_US_preparing_massive_military_attack_0828.html A British arms expert has compiled a study of what an attack on Iran would look like. He says that an attack could be ordered and carried out in a couple of hours. The US would bomb mutliple targets and take out most of the countries infrastracture. It would not be limited to nuclear research sites. Iran has outdated anti-aircraft systems and would be basically defenseless. I was listening to Thom Hartman and he had Larisa Alexandrovna on. She wrote the article and has been talking with high level contacts in the gov't. She said her contacts have told her that the attack is going to happen and nothing will stop it. It's only a matter of when Bush gives the order. If you listened to his speech yesterday at the VFW, he declared war on Iran. He said he authorized the military to respond to any aggression by Tehran. That's a declaration of war. What's funny is that Iran has a mutual defense treaty with Iraq. If we bomb Iran, Iraq is legally obligated to attack our troops.

There is no there there

Has anyone actually read the police report of what Craig supposedly did? Well last night on Keith Olberman they did a re-enactment based only on the police report. Go to the countdown site and watch the clip titled Dragnet:Larry Craig. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/ Craig never asked for sex. He supposedly tapped his foot, which in the officer's mind meant he wanted to have sex. Also he brought his carry on luggage into the stall with him. The officer said men interested in bathroom sex do that so people can't see into their stall. Or could it be he didn't want his luggage stolen? Watch the re-eneactment and tell me if you see anything that even comes close to being an illegal act. This whole story is bullshit. It's a distraction from what we should be focusing on. Bush gave a speech at the Veterans of Foreing Wars convention, and basically declared war on Iran. Rawstory.com had a report that the US is preparing for a massive attack on Iran. Not only will we be attacking their nuclear site, but we will be taking out most of their infrastructure. The reporter was on Thom Hartman yesterday and her high level gov't contacts say an attack on Iran is going to happen. Nothing will stop it, it's only a matter of when the order is given. So can we focus on important things like war with Iran, and forget about trumped up nothings like this Craig story?
