It's not Obama

It's not Obama that is driving the right crazy. It would be anyone that won the White House that wasn't a republican. When you have convinced yourselves that you are on the side of "God". That your party is the one that Jesus wants to win. The Right believes they have a divine right to rule. That they are the chosen ones. So if they lose, it can't be because God doesn't want them to win. It must be because Satan's forces have conspired against them. They would be doing this regardless of which democrat was in the White House. The fact that Obama is black does probably give them more fits of rage.

As much as the right tries to deny it, they are racist to the core.

a few thoughts

Chadimus says that the unemployed need to start their own businesses. Chadimus started his so why can't everyone else? I don't know where he got his funding to start his business, but I'm guess it was from selling drugs. He admitted he used to do that. Or maybe he got it from borrowing from family. Well what if you don't have any funds to start a business, or you can't get a loan? What then Chadimus. Tell us genius. What if you start a business and it fails, as do half of all new companies? Then what genius. I await his answer.

As for Valwayne, give us a break. Reagan's tax cuts did nothing to stimulate the economy. It was under Reagan that the unions were destroyed and offshoring went into hyperdrive. Both of these helped destroy America's middle class. The rich got richer under Reagan, but everyone else suffered. Not to mention creating our huge national deficit. If tax cuts were all that was needed to have a great economy. Why after 8 years of Bush's tax cuts, are we in the worst fucking economy since the fucking Great Depression? Insanity is doing the the same thing over and over and expecting a different result. That's you republicans with your obsession over tax cuts. You think tax cuts solve everything, well news flash THEY DON'T. Plus blaming Obama for the economy he inherited from Bush, nice try. Bush wrecked the economy and that's a fact.

Let's have a race to the bottom

Openminded wants to get rid of the minimum wage. Yes let's have Americans compete with Chinese that make less then 2 dollars a day. Let's have a race to the bottom. Yes that sure would be great for Americans. You think we have poverty here now, wait til Openminded gets his way. Ok Openminded, you go first. You live off 25 cents an hour. You support your family on less then 2 dollars a day. Tell us how great it is to be able to compete in the world market. I got another idea, how about you go fuck yourself asshat.

"War on Fox"

So a couple Obama admin officials criticize Fox "News" channel, and this means that Obama is waging "War on Fox". Why does the media have to characterized criticism as a "war"? It cheapens and demeans the term. A war on Fox would be having them shut down. That would be a war. Saying Fox is not a news organization but a propaganda arm of the republican party, is just telling the truth. Anyone that doesn't know that or thinks Fox is "fair and balanced" is a moron.

Violent terms

The media has to characterize everything in violent terms. If a public figure criticizes someone, the media says they "attacked" that person. Obama admin point out Fox's political slant, it's Obama admin is at "war" with Fox. I know part of it is trying to garner public attention. Saying someone was attacked draws more attention then criticized. Yet I feel it's harmful for public discourse. It shuts down conversations instead of encouraging dialogue. It puts people on the defensive. You aren't going to have a meaningful dialogue with someone that thinks they are at "war". That they are the victims of an "attack". Then the media gets to do what it loves best, debate some controversy they created themselves. The question then becomes, is it wise for Obama to be at "war" with Fox? There is no war, it's a media creation. I'm sure some poll will be conducted, what do you think of Obama waging "war" on Fox? A certain segment of Americans will think Obama can't take any criticism. That they try to shut down anyone that disagrees with them. The created story will take on a life of it's own.

Fox News isn't on the public airwaves

Fox News is a cable channel. They are not on the public airwaves. The public airwaves are what your local tv stations broadcast on. The FCC can only regulate what's on the public airwaves, not what is broadcast on cable. That being said, we need a law in this country. You shouldn't be able to call yourself a news organization, if you lie and mislead your audience everyday of the week. Call it an opinion channel, but not a news channel. The term news needs to be protected, so it actually stands for something.

@Rockybalboa

That was a beautiful rant you gave us. Totally fact-free but completely entertaining. I always love reading the paranoid fantasies of conservatives. About how evil us liberals are and all of our plans for world domination. My only question for you Rocky is, have you forgotten to take your meds today? Schizophrenia is a bitch, aint it Rocky?

What we need

First and foremost, we need more reps in Congress like Grayson. Man I wish he was the speaker of the house, instead of no-guts Pelosi. We need dems that aren't afraid to fight back against these republican. For too long we've played nice with the righties. Allowing them to call us every name in the book, while saying "Thank you sir may I have another?". Not anymore. It's time we fight back and give as good as we get.
