Bush kept us safe Obama didn't.

Awit said that if another 9/11 attack happened, all criticism of Obama would stop for a while. Not on your life buddy. The immediate constant refrain from Fox and the right would be, Bush kept us safe Obama didn't. Never mind that 9/11 happened on Bush's watch. Facts never get in the way of the right. They just ignore them. Cheney would be all over the tv saying how he was right. Torture worked and kept us safe. Obama stopped the torture (allegedly), and we got attacked again. Cheney and the rest of the treasonous republicans are praying for another terrorist attack. They want Americans to die because they think it will get them back into power. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't already have the commercials ready to run. All they need is the video footage of the dead and dying. Mark my words if another terrorist attack happens in this country, the right will be ready to exploit it for all it's worth.

Maristow a true Obamabot

Want to know what a real Obamabot looks like, read the post by Maristow. You can't get anymore delusional then the shit he wrote. Obama is expanding the war in Afghanistan, and you think he deserves a peace prize? You don't see any disconnect in that? Well you must believe that "War is peace". Can you get anymore Orwellian? Go post that Obama worshiping crap somewhere else. When Obama does something praise worthy, I will praise him. But I refuse to worship him like you Maristow.

Really?

The President is not a dictator who issues decrees. The President has to have enough people united behind him to create a power block to get things done. (socalled) politicalrealist2

Hello so called realist. We gave Obama the presidency and the dems a 60 vote control in the Senate, with a huge majority in the House. If Obama and the dems can't get shit done, then that's their fucking fault. Bush btw was able to get almost all of his initiatives passed with a simple 1 vote majority in Senate. For someone that calls themselves a realist, your conception of reality must be different then the rest of us.

Orbitboy beat me to it

Orbitboy beat me to it, because I was going to say the exact thing. When poll after poll shows the vast majority of Americans want a public option, then what excuse do the dems have for not passing it (so called) politicalrealist2? Your entire premise is false. You are nothing but an Obamabot. Making excuse after excuse for why Obama doesn't deliver. While trying to claim you are so much more politically sophisticated then the rest of us. Give us a break buddy. Either develop a new argument, this one based on facts, or stop wasting our time.

victims and delusion

Rush is denied part ownership of a NFL team, and it's somehow the left's fault? WTF? Since it requires being a billionaire to buy a NFL team, I don't think it's the left denying Rush. Most billionaires tend to be righties. Of course Rush is always the victim. Yet some of his dittoheads feel they too have been denied ownership of a NFL team. Like they have Rush's kind of money. I remember reading comments from Rush's fans when he signed his last contract. 400 million over 10 years, they were jumping with joy over it. The way they were celebrating, you'd of thought Rush was going to share it with them. Talk about delusional. These people are mentally ill. Every last one of them.

Question for Glenn

Glenn where did you get your numbers that .6% of Americans are muslim? I had read that it was 3%. Just wondering. My rightie uncle once sent me a website that said muslims are going to take over America and impose sharia law. I wrote the website author asking the question, how are they going to do it. If 90% of Americans self-identify as Christians, how is a tiny minority of muslims going to take over America? Of course the guy had no answers. Just said read the website he said, which was the typical boilerplate stuff of the evils of Islam. That actual elected representatives would entertain such nonsense, makes me weep for my country. Where are most of these reps from? I'm guessing the south. If the dems in Congress don't denounce this stuff immediately, I'm down with the democratic party forever. It pissed me off how many dems jumped on the get ACORN bandwagon, but this will be the final straw. If they can't stand up to this type of McCarthy fearmongering, then they will never stand up.

Oopsie

I made a little mistake in my last post. I meant to write, if the dems don't denounce this I'm done with the dem party forever. I should of reread my post before posting.

@Calamine, the Zazi case

As someone that lives in Colorado, the Zazi case has been a big story here because he lived in Denver. While I have no idea if he is or is not a terrorist. What infuriates me is how the FBI plays the media, to try to convict him in the court of public opinion. Day after day it's one story after another of FBI assertions of guilt. Why should I trust the FBI on anything? These are the same people that assured us Richard Jewell was the Atlanta olympic bomber. How'd that work out? Zazi is deserving of a fair trial and the potential jury pool shouldn't be tainted by FBI "leaks". It should be illegal for the FBI or local police to do this type of stuff. How many innocent people are languishing in prison, because they couldn't get a fair trial over these type of practices?

Poor people come in all colors Calamine

Poverty is not limited to one races. ACORN helps people of all colors. That they help black people does not mean it's a black only organization. You are a racist.
