One of the things I keep hearing righties say is, Obama recommends taking a pain killer pill to treat cancer. Does anyone know what they are talking about? When did Obama ever say that?

But back to health care, we all know what this is about. It's not about health care, or deficits, it's about race. We have a black man as president and it scares the shit out of these older white folks. The reason they didn't protest Bush doubling our national deficit, ripping up our constitution and spying on us illegally. Was because Bush was a white man and a christian. Not a black muslim born in Kenya. I actually heard a white older lady say that yesterday. Unbelievable how stupid some Americans are. These older folks that think Obama is going to kill them, do so because they've listen to the demonization of democrats for decades by right-wing hate radio. Democrats want to kill babies and euthanize seniors. Democrats are anti-life. One of the signs I saw at a protest was "Obama and Democratic Controlled congress is our second 9/11". Think about that for a second. So the murder of 3000 people is the same, as Obama and the democrats winning an election. I can't imagine what kind of sick mind it takes to say something like that and actually believe it.

If the media would be honest and tell the truth about Canada and Britain's single-payer systems. That they cover everyone with few problems. Instead of picking some isolated case of someone having to wait a few months for elective surgery. We could get a single-payer system in this country. But the reason our corporate media doesn't tell us the truth, is because they have conflicting interests. They don't want to alienate insurance company advertisers by telling the truth about a single payer system. They might lose an advertiser. So they lie and tell us "horror" stories of socialized medicine. Our corporate media needs to be broken up. 6 companies controlling everything we hear and see on tv, radio, cable etc is dangerous to our democracy.

A previous poster noted right-wing loonies showing up to protest Obama while carrying guns. I can't remember ever seeing Bush protesters ever wearing guns. You know it wouldn't of been allowed. The secret service had people arrested for holding anti-Bush signs along the motorcade route. People who were on the public sidewalk, exercising their 1st amendment rights, were arrested. Yet now people can show up to protest Obama carrying AR-15 assault rifles. WTF??? It's hilarious that these same righties who think Obama is going to take their guns away, are allowed to carry guns in protest of him. I'm sure they don't see the obvoius disconnect in their beliefs. Obama is going to take my guns away, but I can protest him wearing one. Who says this isn't a free country?

Have you been paying attention sir? Because I don't think you have a clue about Obama. Obama is still trying to get bipartisan support from the republicans. After they fucked him over on the stimulus bill. Obama gave them everything they wanted, huge tax breaks. Yet no republican voted for the stimulus. Now he's doing it again. Bending over backwards to try to get republican support for healthcare. That's why he's jettison the public option in favor the coops. Yet it's going to get the same result, ZERO REPUBLICAN VOTES. Obama is not a fighter. I am firmly convinced that Obama never intended to get a public option. His actions have demonstrated that so far. If he had truly wanted to get a public option, he would of started by demanding a single-payer system. That way he'd have room to compromise and settle for a public option. Instead he started from a position of weakness. He said he'd like a public option but indicated he was willing to negotiate on it. He showed weakness from the start and the republicans have exploited that. That's why we aren't going to get a public option. Obama isn't the 11 dimensional chess player you think he his mikelx.

You can't argue with people who don't believe in facts. So don't even try. These people need to be held up and ridiculed because that's what they deserve.

So Eric Holder decides to appoint a special prosecutor for a limited investigation of low-level CIA flunkies that exceeded the OLC memos on torture. The CIA is releasing the torture report from 2004. And Michael Jackson's toxicology results are also released today and his death has been ruled a homicide. What a bit of convenient timing for the Obama administration. Which story is the media likely to focus on? It's going to be ALL MICHAEL ALL THE TIME. The CIA torture report is the one that Americans really needed to see and focus on. That we did mock executions, threatened people with power drills. It's all going to be ignored because of the damn Michael thing. If I was a conspiracy theorist, I'd think this was all planned out.

Well it's apparent from that the fix is in, when it comes to prosecuting torturers. They are going to sacrifrice a few small fish and let the big ones get away. I'm ashamed of my country. The country I knew and loved is DEAD. Whatever America used to stand for, it doesn't anymore. Let the sun set on this failed American experiment. The sooner our country falls, the better off the world will be.
