Naomi Klein

Naomi Klein was on Rachel Maddow last night. She commented that this bank bailout is the biggest heist in the history of the world. She also said that Obama is trying to have it both ways. For the economy at large, he's pursuing Keyesnian policies. With the banks, it's more of the crony capitalism perfected under Bush. It ain't going to work. She also noted that Obama is not pursuing any reforms. FDR was able to use the public anger to enact banking regulations. Obama has made no calls for reforms with regards to the banking system. It's obviously who's best interests he's interested in, hint it isn't the American people. The Daily Show did a good segment showing that these bank "stress tests" are just public theatre. They are absolute jokes, based on nothing real. We are all so screwed. I just wonder how bad it has to get, before people rise up in the streets. I think we need a French style revolution in this country. It's time for some rich heads to roll, literally.

When Hell freezes over

Question, so when are these "bad" banks going to be put into receivership?

Answer When Hell Freezes over. The Obama admin is just going to keep pumping billions upon billions to prop up these too big to fail institutions. Yet there is absolutetly no call for any real reforms in the banking industry. The American people are being screwed, and it's Obama that's doing it to us. He's just another bought and sold politician, owned by the corporations. So much for Change we can believe in.

Pelosi briefed?

I'm not going to defend Pelosi, but this whole she was briefed is a distraction. What the purpose of this news story, is that we are supposed to believe she was told about the waterboarding and didn't object. Which may or may not be true. Since none of us were at that "briefing", we have no idea what was she told. Second I'm sure it won't be pointed out in the MSM that she couldn't disclose what she was told without breaking the law. So even if she was told about the waterboarding and objected, there was nothing she could do about it. I think the republicans are pushing this story to try to defend Bush. If you prosecute Bush, you have to prosecute Pelosi too. The two are not equally guilty. Bush ordered the torture. Pelosi may or may not have been told about it. Even if she was told about it, she's couldn't do anything about it. Don't let the repugs get away with this side show distraction. Keep the focus on the truly guilty BUSH AND CHENEY.

I read that report

I read the International Red Cross report recently, and the assertion that yeahok makes is total BS. What he claims to be there, isn't there. Also it's funny that he's been asked repeatedly to provide proof of his claim, and conventiently ignores those requests. Yeahok you have exposed yourself as a liar and a coward.

Not surprising

This isn't really surprising. Obama is now head of the security state. What the security state does is expand it's power to do what it wants. Whatever the empire requires, the security state delivers. If McCain had won the election, he'd be taking the same position. What's disappointing is that Obama ran on a campaign of transparency and openness in government. But we all know what campaign promises are worth, NOTHING. Just like his pledge that no one was above the law, we see how much Obama meant that one as well. It's Obama that is standing in the way of any investigations or prosecutions of torture. It's Obama that's standing in the way of real progress. We all got duped into thinking he was a progressive, when he's definetly a statist.

Let me be clear, Obama is full of shit

Whenever I hear Obama say "let me be clear", I know what he is about to say is full of shit. I'm not surprised at this turn of events. Obama is a political coward. He isn't doing this to protect the troops. He's doing it because he knows these photos will only increase public demand for investigations into the Bush torture programs. That's something he is desperate to avoid at all costs. Because Obama has no desire to investigate or even prosecute those that tortured. It's just an act of cowardice to say he's doing it to protect the troops. Let me be clear, Obama is full of shit.

Let me be clear

When ever I hear Obama say "Let me be clear", I know he's about to say something that's full of shit. I believe Rachel Maddow nailed the real reason Obama is suppressing these photos. He is trying to block public demand for investigations and prosecutions into the Bush torture program. It really pisses me off that Obama used the phrase "small number of individuals". It's total fucking lie, and he knows it. This was a systematic torture program, authorized by Bush and Cheney. Cheney just confessed to that the other day, that Bush approved the torture techniques. We are supposed to believe that troops in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Cuba all did similar things all on their own without any guidance from above? Does Obama think we are fucking stupid? Let me be clear, Obama is full of shit.

Reason enough for ya

I will believe Obama until he gives me reason not to. wbgone

So when Obama said he would filibuster any bill that would give telco's immunity for violating the law during the campaign. Then voted to give those same telco's immunity, wasn't that enough for you to see Obama for who he truly was. A man that would say one thing and do another. You wbgone have bought into Brand Obama. You don't see the real man, you see the image Brand Obama wants you to see. I suggest you look beyond the image and into the substance. When someone shows you who they are, you should believe them. Obama has shown all of us who he really is. You wbgone are the fool here.
