thoughts

1)To all the Hillary people, it's time to move on. The republicans wanted her to be the nominee because of how much dirt they have on her. 50% of the American people have a negative opinion of her. There is no way she could of won. She will never be the president, get over it.

2) Palin is a gift to the Obama campaign, if they will take it. They need to hammer hard on her lack of qualifications. The ease with which she lies. Destroy the BS narrative that she is some kind of reformer. Run ads with the bridge to nowhere, the one she supported before she opposed.

3) Last but not least to Obama, STOP SAYING NICE THINGS ABOUT MCCAIN. Stop praising him as a war hero. Stop saying how much you admire his service.

@ Notorious WES

GET OVER IT. Hillary lost, Obama won. Stop your belly aching. You got two choices now. You can be part of the solution or part of the problem. You want to make sure McCain doesn't become president? Then get involved with the Obama campaign and make sure Obama wins. If you don't do that, then you are part of the problem. That's your choice to make. But please stop your whining about Hillary. It's getting so old.

Won't ever know

Well it seems we must likely will never know what they were doing. Most Americans could care less, as long as they keep us safe they don't care. I don't got nothing to hide, eavesdrop away. Constitutional rights, that's outdated and so pre 9/11. Our best chance to learn what they were up to was getting Obama elected, but that was no guarantee he'd expose what they did. He wouldn't want to expose the criminal complicity of the democratic leadership. But it looks like the republicans are going to succeed in fooling the American people once again. John McCain looks like he's going to win. Thank you Obama for running the worst campaign in American history. So we are never going to know what they did.

Final stages

What we are witnessing is the final stages of America, the FALL. America is falling. We've lost our ideals. We've become spoiled and lazy. Most Americans don't know our history, nor do they care about it. They don't care about the constitution. They don't care about rights. They just assume "it can't happen here". We will always be free because this is America, the land of the free. They've forgotten that freedom isn't free, it always has to be fought for. Fought to win freedom and fight to preserve it. Those that forget their history our doomed to repeat it. That's what we are living through right now. The repeating of history. The repeating of laisse faireism, and the economic collapse it's bringing. The repeating of the red scares and the Palmer raids. This time it's the "war on terrorism" but the violations of our rights are just the same. Since most Americans are ignorant they are getting what they deserve. I just wish they'd have listened to those that tried to warn them. Americans never seem to learn though. Look at how John McCain is winning now. Ignorance has it's price and we all have to suffer because of it.

Obama and lawlessness

I wish Obama would pointout the continued lawlessness of the republicans. Point out how Palin is following Bush's example of having her people defy lawfully issued subpeonas. I wish he would do that, but I doubt he will. Obama can't talk about lawlessness by this current administration because he helped to sanction it. He voted for to legalize warrantless wiretaps. He voted to immunize the criminal telephone companies. He can't talk about the violation of our laws like how we engage in torture, because key congressional democrats were complicit in that torture. Obama should be talking about lawlessness but he can't. When you roll around with dogs, you too will get fleas.

We got a new troll

It was a commmittee led by a Democrat that issued the subpoenas (new troll) Fladad

I see we got a new troll. No fladad the committee that issued the subpeonas was republican controlled. It had 3 repubs and 2 dems on it. In case math isn't your strong point, that makes it republican dominated. Yet this republican dominated committee decided subpeonas was warranted to get to the bottom of this investigation. Nice try though, please do try again.

Under control

A previous poster stated how Palin is being kept under wraps and under control. She definetly is. From her limited tv interviews, she's done 2 so far. One with Charlie Gibson and one with Sean Hannity. Even the king of softball questions Charlie Gibson, was too much for her to handle. Now today I read that the squabble over the debates is over the VP debate. The McCain campaign is ok with the presidential debates being wide open and free wheeling. But the vp debates are too be highly structured. They know Palin would get her clock cleaned by Biden in a open debate. So they want it tightly controlled to prevent that. If you didn't need anymore evidence that Palin isn't ready for primetime, there it is. Even the McCain camp knows she's not ready for this stuff. I can't believe how people don't see through the marketing of Palin. She's all hat and no cattle.

How will it be paid for?

One thing I haven't heard with regards to this giant bailout is how it's going to be paid for. What are going to do, just put on the national credit card? Since it was the greedy wealthy people that did this to us, they need to be made to pay for it. The dems should insist that any bailout bill has a few provisions. One) reinstate the Glass-Stengel act. That repeal of Glass-Stengel is what allowed this crap to happen. Two) repeal the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest 10% and reinstate the estate tax. Make those provisions retroactive on top of it. The wealthy need to pay back their ill-gotten gains. Bush says he won't sign, say fuck let it burn. Let whole damn thing burn.
