Proud to be "far left radical"

If believing that our leaders should be governed by the rule of law, and held accountable if they break it. If believing our country should not engage in torture and prisoners have the right to challenge their detention. If believing our Constitution should be followed and not torn to shreds. If believing in all of these things makes one a "far left radical", then I'm damn proud to be one. Believing in this things used to be called being a proud American. How fucked up has our country become in 7 short years. That people who believe in what used to be considered American values, are now considered extremists. Thank you George W. Bush for everything you've done to our country. America was the greatest nation on earth, until you got your hands on it. All it takes is one bad leader to ruin a country. What you did to our country with the help of your fascist sycophants in congress, courts, and the media, will be your ever lasting legacy. Hope your proud of it ASSHOlE.

Hillary won't be VP

Hillary is not going to be Obama's VP. If he does pick her, which would be a colossal mistake, it would sink his chances for sure. The repugs would love Hillary to be VP, because they'd be able to use all the ammo they have against her. Hillary is only about one person, HILLARY. No one in their right mind would pick her as their running mate. She couldn't control Bill during her own campaign, how would Obama control him? Bill definetly did more damage to Hillary's chances, then he helped. That's because he's a loose cannon, just like Hillary. It's going to be a close enough election as it is, Obama needs a running mate that will help him. That person is not Hillary. Give it up Joan. Hillary had her chance and she lost. Time to MOVE ON BABY.

going negative

I had the displeasure of watching ABC nightly news last night. The segment on how the campaign was getting nasty, was the typical "fair and balanced" political report. They talked about McCains new ad comparing Obama to Britney and Paris. Then said how both sides are going negative, because Obama put out an ad calling defending himself. Defending oneself from lies is not being negative. But that's how the MSM show they are "fair and balanced" by calling foul on both sides. Even when only one side is actually being nasty.

That being said, Obama needs to stop this nice guy crap. You can't run a clean campaign, when your opponent lives in the gutter. McCain shows he has no problems rolling around in the sewer. IF the media is just going to mindlessly repeat what ever each campaign says, you got to use that to your advantage. Start hitting McCain below the belt. Bring up the Keating 5 scandal. Bring up his wife being a dope addict. Bring up the fact he's an adulterer. Nice guys finish last. How many times do we have to lose the presidency before we figure that out?

referendum on Obama

I've heard many tv pundits say that this election is a referendum on Obama. It's his to win or lose. So I have to ask, why isn't it also a referendum on McCain? This is how retarded our politics have become. But if the election is a referendum on Obama, then it makes sense how every negative thing said about him gets played up by the media.

Well if the dems can't win the presidency in this political environment, they are never going to win. With the economy in shambles, a hugely unpopular war in Iraq, gas prices out sight, by all historical markers the dem should win in a landslide. If Obama manages to win, which is a big IF, it's going to be extremely close. I hate to say it, but if we had nominated Edwards or even Hillary, it wouldn't even be close. They'd have a 10 or 20 point lead in the polls right now. The reason it's so close is because Obama is black. It remains to be seen if America is ready to elect a black man as president. I hope it is, but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

Is that standard procedure?

Does anyone know if it's standard procedure for the DOJ or FBI to tip off someone that they are about to be prosecuted? I just can't see an FBI agent saying hey we are about to charge you for with murder, don't you go no where now. It doesn't make much sense if they do. Brian Ross needs to be hauled before a grand jury and forced to give up his sources. It ain't going to happen though. Justice is an extinct concept in America today.

Disgusting

These sham trials are absolutely disgusting. We used to condemn the Soviets for this type of stuff. We can't do that anymore. THANK YOU BUSH FOR EVERYTHING YOU'VE DONE FOR US. Thank you Democrats in Congress for going along with everything the Bush admininstration has asked for. Thank you Republicans for being brainless automatons that, do whatever Der Furher Bush asks you to. He couldn't of done it without all of your support. Proud to be an American, not anymore.
