Last week Druggie Limbaugh called for riots to happen at the democratic convention in Denver. He didn't just say he was dreaming of it, he said he wanted actual riots. That's the objective here. If you didn't live in Colorado, you probably never heard about it. Being that I do live here, the local media reported it. But where was the national "liberal" media? A conservative talk show hosts calls for violent riots at the democratic convention, and it's not even reported in the national media. I don't even think Olbermann listed Limbaugh as one of his worst people. As Glenn has highlighted in the past, prominent conservatives can make outright calls for violence against fellow americans and it's met with complete silence. Ann Coulter can write books that say talk to liberals by using a baseball bat, and she still gets invited on tv. Why is this tolerated?

This ad is just pathetic. It's guilt by association twice removed. Childers supports Obama, Obama knows Wright, therefor Childers is a crazy america hating radical. Give me a break. I don't think any reasonable person is going to fall for this stuff. It just makes the GOP look stupid.

I've always found it interesting how all 3 network news show will cover the exact same stories, in the exact same order. If you ever try to watch them all, you'll see what I mean. It's not just the "important" news stories, but even the so-called "human" interest stories. They almost always go to commercial at the exact same time too. Where I live, they are all on at the same time.

All 3 anchors are just laughable. Katie Couric, Charlie Gibson, and Brian Williams. They are nothing but ants compared to the giants that used to be in their places. I'm sure Peter Jennings is weeping in heaven, when he sees what that asshat Gibson has done to his news program. CBS needs to bring back Dan Rather. He was a real anchor. Williams is just a pretty boy news model. Keith Olbermann should be the anchor of the NBC nightly news.

Did anyone see the recent AP story on the FISA court? In 2007, the FISA court approved 2370 wiretap warrants and rejected 3. That was a 6% increase in wiretap approvals from 2006. They rejected 1/10th of 1% of warrant applications. To say that the FISA court is a rubber stamp, would be an understatement. Yet even that isn't enough for the Bush admin, they need more wiretapping powers. They need to be able to wiretap with impunity. Now how hard is it for the dems to make the argument that FISA works just fine? That there is no obstacle what so ever in getting wiretap approvals.

As an Obama supporter, I'm afraid that he is severely screwed. These ads just go to show that. If fellow democrats are saying they don't know him, it's bad. The republicans and the media have made Obama radioactive. Obama has been transformed from the post-racial candidate, to the "radical black" candidate. We can also thank Hillary's campaign for helping that transformation. The so called "low information" voters, aren't going to vote for Obama. All they know about him is that he has a crazy radical preacher, and he went to his church for 20 years. So Obama must subscribe to everything Wright has to say, right? Plus Obama made a huge mistake by saying Rev. Wright was a relevant political issue. So now he has to answer for anything the maniac has to say. Obama couldn't of been more stupid by saying Wright was relevant. No Obama is screwed. The reason the republicans win election after election, is because they kind of tactics work.

I'm a realist, Nyjerk. Obama is done. The repugs will hang Wright around his neck, after all Obama says Wright is relevant. It's going to work because the majority of Americans are morons. They will run ads 24/7 with Wright saying "God Damn America", and Obama will lose in a landslide to McSame. Hillary will fare no better. They have even more guilt by association stuff on her. She's married to Bill. Everything Bill ever did, Hillary's going to be called to account for. Everything he ever said, she will have to answer for. After all she's been married to him for 20+ years. Then when you factor in that the media is in the bag for McCain. That McCain can say anything and never be called on it, what do you get? President McCain, that's what. So better get used to saying it, because he's going to be the next president.

Here's a question John McCain needs to be asked to answer. Why did he commit adultery while married to his first wife? Is adultery a family value Senator? Since we are asking questions of Obama, it only seems fair the McCain be asked some questions too.

As Glenn has demonstrated, the reason these public official can lie with impunity is because they face no consequences for it. A new law needs to be passed, that requires gov't officials to be considered under oath when ever speaking to the press. If they tell a lie to the press, they get prosecuted for perjury. The punishment needs to be a mandatory minimum, like a year or more in jail. If they faced real consequences for deceiving the public, they'd be less likely to do it.
