Either

Increase OR decrease your drugs.

There's a difference between a 'pro' and a kept woman

Everyone knows that. So stop wearing your Cotton Mather suits for a sec.

Romantic love is overrated

Marriages or near-marriages for gain, advantage, convenience or trade have a far far far longer history.

Original article: Letter to Robert Gates

In WW2

80% of all allied ground force combat deaths related to aerial bombardment were killed by allied bombers.

And let me add

No one on Earth has ever successfully dragged along China into something they really didn't want to do or saw as their own best interest to the specific detriment to everyone else.

Yeah but in these economic climes

"Green" just fell from the top 5 issues list. Sorry.

Just get him off the damn TV

I don't care where he goes just shut his stupid giant head up.

My only real complaint with the iPhone/iPod

Is that they should make it either a) water resistant or b) with a replaceable battery. Not NEITHER of those things. Also with 16GB uSD cards coming online, the idea that you have immovable 16GB inside the iPhone/iPod is going to have to change. What anyone will go with quadruple that size is anyone's guess but it will be necessary from a marketing standpoint.

Let's assume that it is

the real question is, is that necessarily bad.

Lashing out at people's hobbies

Is weird even by Salon culture vulture standards.

Original article: Impeach Bush for Christmas

But Christmas must be outlawed

In this our proletarian paradise.

Emma Bovary come on down!

What's your guess for the MSRP of this Bosch washer dryer set?

Original article: The buck stops where?

Salon's raison d'ĂȘtre all these years has been to laugh at Bush in an attempt shame him

What a silly waste of time. Any idiot knows you can't shame the shameless. You can't apply the rules of mercy to sociopaths. You can't force people to pay attention to you when their overweening sin is that they simply don't give a fuck whether you live or die.

We get it, everyone gets it. He's a craven dolt. He sleeps the sleep, if not the just, the indifferent. To follow on what Kanye West said, it's not that George Bush doesn't care (about black people), it's that it never enters his mind that there ARE people out there needing his or anyone's concern at all. And least of all, he's worrying what you think.

Say what you want about Nixon, he at least was paranoid about what he THOUGHT other people were plotting. Bush I doubt even sees any of you as life forms.

Don't block the port

That's where the iMuffs blue tooth headphones antenna base goes.

Original article: Why 60 doesn't matter

Not 60, but 100

Clearly Congress was going to tell you the big bad something or others were preventing them from handing you a free solar powered unicorn and massive sex appeal if only, if only they had every single seat in Congress forever. And even then it was iffy.

60 doesn't matter not because they can compromise, but because they can't. It doesn't matter either way. Congress is a dead beast.

I'm pretty sick of the assertion that every UAW job has a cascading effect

MOST jobs have a cascading effect. Fire a burger flipper and some other job is going to be disturbed in some way. Or a doctor or a programmer or a traffic cop. For the last 20 years we've been held hostage to the unassailable platitude that somehow if you lose one UAW job the entire economic fabric of the western world will be rent asunder. As if it's different for them than it is for anyone else. It is not.

So unless the rest of you feel the need to underwrite this one class of workers in this one group of companies while you yourselves are hung out to dry my suggestion would be to push back. The UAW isn't going to lift a finger to save YOU.

I have an American car

It's a Toyota built in the US. My Ford on the other hand is built in Mexico. If every GM and Ford line job goes to a third world country, well it's pretty hard for me to feel especially bad about that. I've been living that dream for a decade in another industry.

And if my firm decided to end all benefits for everyone tomorrow there's not a lot anyone can do about that. Even less that any of you would care.

The fact is that if GM crashed and was bought up by Toyota or Peugeot or Fiat or Tata then so what? You people act like it's a matter of national pride like beer and football to have a car with a given name on it. It matters not at all. And somehow someone is going to figure out a way to sell cars to Americans. We're not going to stop driving.

Original article: "Prop. 8 -- the Musical"

obama's law blog

Why now? because it's not newsworthy until you're already on the wrong side of history. Now you get to play victim instead of loser.

Wednesday, December 3, 2008 09:16 AM

Well at least it gives you something to complain about

Now every thwarted dream you've ever had will be because the Dems don't have 5,000% super uber mega majority.
