What an amazing set of letters

about a topic near and dear to my heart. Thank you all for participating in a wonderfully articulate and entertaining debate about these issues -- and all this before we have even had the chance to see GG's presentation.

Where is the blow-back from the anti-drug culture warriors? I'm so naughty to think that it's delightfully ironic that Limbaugh is holding their rallying bugle at this moment in history. He cannot fill his lungs to sound it without opening himself to blatant derision and shame. Here's hoping that will not stop him. ROFL

Not a single "Reefer Madness! Just Say No!" hysteric predicting the utter meltdown of society within a week if libruls git their way! in the crowd so far. I chuckle imagining my uncle, whom I refer to as my "Uncle Pot-Head-Rush-Limbaugh", (an inexplicably conservative ex-hippie who lives encircled by a constant THC cloud for no reason other than "MJ is fun. Nobody cares.") having to concede he agrees with the current movement toward decriminalization (at least).

As a Multiple Sclerosis patient living in a non-med-mari state, I speak with ultimate authority that the whole system is utterly cruel. I am my own science.

Take a Little Trip With Me...

Let me blow your mind... Google: Glenn Beck marijuana legalize. Play the videos. Watch a Fox News Broadcast devote seven minute segments to arguments and presentations in favor of legalizing pot. I kid you not.

Dude's gunning for the "head" demo, man. He's pulling in the "Yes! Legalize, tax, and regulate ganj!" crowd. Sure, most of these proponents are crossing out of their usual political comfort zone, but the spectacle is just so fascinating... and obviously near and dear to many hearts.

I think there is a faction, an audience "bump" of sorts, watching to see if Beck can actually sell this to the "Just Say No, D.A.R.E., "Reefer Madness" indoctrinated audience. I suppose the people who proclaims "Rush Rules" have pretty much stomped the "drugs users are horrible criminals" soap-box to splinters.

So who knows? Maybe now is just the right moment in history for Beck to introduce them to Mary Jane. See? She's not so scary after all! (And double bonus!!! If she's legal here, the evil, violent Mexicans won't sneak in with her.! Yay!) rofl

Original article: Those ignorant atheists

Hallelujah!

Among atheists' mistaken ideas about religious faith, to quote from a quote from the article:

"that faith in this God means above all subscribing to the proposition that he exists;"

Awesome!!! So, I do not have to claim that this God exists in order to have faith? Sign this atheist up as a "believer"!!!

He/she who touches the stick, owns the stick...

My hubby and I walk our dog several times a day. We live in a "gritty" urban area, and trash often blows about. We are fans of "Found," the website that posts compelling found notes, etc. Each of us has been enticed, upon occasion, to pick up what appears to be a forgotten/lost note of some kind. The price of our curiosity is clear: if we pick something up, we are then committed to bring it home and place it in our trash. (Unless it is compelling enough to send to "Found," for instance.) The moral of the story: be careful what detritus you pick up. When you touch it, it becomes yours. To throw the trash (or branch!) back down is littering.
