  • Steny Hoyer, I piss on you!

[Read the article: Hoyer hails FISA bill as "a significant victory for the Democratic Party"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Congressman Hoyer, you're a Goddamn career political hack. You're a bastard. You're a piss-away-the-Constitution piece of shit. (And those are your better qualities, by the way.) You confirm Mark Twain's adage that Congress is America's native criminal class.

Barak Obama? Truth be told, I'm not expecting much from this flash-in-the-pan. He's too facile, too glib to be trusted. He tells the dummies what they want to here--and then pisses on 'em.

  • The U.S. Congress is the best that money can buy!

[Read the article: Chris Dodd's speech and a glimmer of hope for stopping the FISA bill]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The U.S. Congress is the best that money can buy. The FISA issue--involving Constitutional and civil liberties issues of the highest import--is still subject to bought-and-paid-for members of Congress.

Hoyer, Pelosi, Rockefeller, Reid et al. are Goddamn unprincipled hacks. Of course, that's what happens when you hang in Congress for years (decades?). The corrupt culture of the D.C. Beltway just takes over, like those pods in "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" (1956). The congressional hack owes his or her allegiance to K Street, not Joe Sixpack.

  • Keith Olbermann's "principles"; Jonathan Alter; Obama

[Read the article: Keith Olbermann: Then and now]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Last January, Keith Olbermann spoke vigorously--and correctly--against immunity for the lawbreaking telecoms. Now, he's singing a different tune to accomodate Obama.

Whatever "principles" Olbermann has are pretty flexible, aren't they? He ought to be ashamed of himself.

Jonathan Alter, the horse's ass who's otherwise known as the managing editor of Newsweek, is likewise ignorant and unprincipled. (Newsweek, like TIME, is losing circulation. Don't buy either, and you'll hasten the process.)

Obama's a phony. He's glib and superficial. The man's afraid to stand for anything, he's a lackey of the Israel Lobby, he's afraid to be seen with Muslims. Everything's expendable.

  • Saint Barak of Obama's cowardice; "Commando Hillary"Clinton

[Read the article: Keith Olbermann's reply and Obama's secret plan to protect the rule of law]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Saint Barak of Obama's halo is getting pretty

friggin' tarnished. He's shown he's a coward or a bullshitter, or both. If this is what Candidate Obama does, what would President Obama do, with all that warrantless

surveillance authority in his hands? This man is potentially dangerous.

In the fight--and I use the word "fight" advisedly--against the FISA bullshit, "Commando Hillary" Clinton is nowhere to be found, I see. Of course, you can't expect much from her. She's owned by every big interest in town, and one of her good buddies--Jamie Gorelick--was a telecom lobbyist.

Inside the D.C. Beltway, everybody acts for the good of--well, the D.C. Establishment!

  • Face it, Obama supporters: Your boy's a douche bag!

[Read the article: The baseless, and failed, "move to the center" cliche]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Barack Obama's a douche bag. He's a glib, unprincipled man who'll tell you what you want to hear, and then piss on you.

His devotion to the "rule of law" is as thin as quicksand, what with his support of the FISA surveillance bullshit. He doesn't want to campaign among, or be seen with, American Muslims. (He didn't waste any time, though, in selling his soul to the Israel Lobby, did he?) He hasn't spoken out against attacking Iran, and he probably doesn't want to get out of Iraq. (Then again, neither does the Democratic Party--they've voted to keep the war going, remember.)

Quite a choice between Obama and Mad Bomber McInsane, huh?!

  • Obama's letting the opposition define him

[Read the article: The Obama campaign's past two weeks]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Obama's letting the opposition define him. To all appearances, he's a douche bag.

Can you believe how Obama rebuked General Wesley Clark, AUS (Ret.)? Here's a respected general officer who slams Mad Bomber McInsane's I-was-a-POW-so-vote-for-me-for-President bullshit. Hell, Obama and his boys should have been delirious with joy about what Clark said. They should be encouraging this at every turn.

Obama's a coward. He doesn't want to campaign among, or be seen with, American Muslims. He didn't waste any time in proclaiming his love for the warmongering Israel Lobby, though.

And, yes, he's pretty cavalier about trashing civil liberties, what with his support of the FISA bullshit.

  • Joe Klein; Zionist warmongering swine

[Read the article: The right's game-playing with "dual loyalty" and "anti-Semitism" accusations]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Joe Klein's salvos against the neocons are right on target (my estimation of Klein has been revised upwards). Neocons put Israel's interests ahead of America's. They know Israel wants hegemony over the Middle East, and they're happy to let Americans do Israel's fighting for it. This is especially true of the rabid Zionist warmongering swine.

I think that all Commentary and Weekly (Sub)Standard neocons of military age ought to enlist and get the hell over to the Middle East. They can help secure it for the boys in Tel Aviv.

  • Obama supporters are right to entertain doubts. . . .

[Read the article: Obama advisor Greg Craig: Adding insult to injury]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

If you're an Obama supporter, you're right to entertain doubts about him. Obama's proving himself to be just another cowardly, unprincipled hack.

I'm an independent who despises both major parties. (There's sure a lot of "choice" there, isn't there? Choose one hack (Obama) from Column A, or one hack (Mad Bomber McInsane) from Column B!) I'll be voting for the Libertarian's Bob Barr in November.

Consider declaring your independence, as it were, from the two carbon copy major parties.

  • The bipartisan corruption of the D.C. Beltway class

[Read the article: The political establishment and telecom immunity -- why it matters]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The D.C. Beltway is America's Sodom and Gomarrah. Everybody in it--political hacks, MSM hacks, lobbyists--are self-serving and self-perpetuating. They're "of the Beltway, by the Beltway, and for the Beltway." It's easy to overlook Joe Sixpack back in Peoria.

The presidential candidates of the two (corrupt) major parties--Saint Barack of Obama

and Mad Bomber McInsane--are bought-and-paid-for like the rest of 'em. Both favor the new FISA bill, with its WARRANTLESS SURVEILLANCE and its IMMUNITY FOR TELECOMS THAT ILLEGALLY SPIED ON AMERICANS.

Anyone for the "rule of law"? D.C. Beltway? Saint Barack of Obama? Mad Bomber McInsane?

    No? I thought not.

  • Nixon's impeachment: That was then, and this is now

[Read the article: Aug. 8, 1974 vs. July 9, 2008]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Thirty-four years ago, Tricky Dick Nixon was impeached and facing trial in the Senate. Today, the Liar-in-Chief's malefactions--the known ones, and those yet to be discovered--are ignored by a worthless Congress. And now, the "Parliament of Whores" is about to pass a bill that allows warrantless surveillance, as well as giving the telecoms immunity from civil liability.

Well, hell, the telecoms ought to get SOMETHING for their money!
