Courts ought to be ashamed of themselves
[Read the article: The courts and Congress affirmatively conceal and protect lawbreaking]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]If you read your "Civics for Suckers" textbook, you probably think of the courts as the bastion of Truth, Law, and Justice. Bullshit. Judges are the same flawed, biased
individuals they were when they were lawyers. Now they're wearing black robes. That doesn't make 'em any better. Often, it engenders feelings of megalomania, especially in appellate judges.
Maybe the judge is an ex-ACLU lawyer, with an unshakable devotion to civil liberties. Maybe the judge is an ex-Federalist Society type, who thinks the President is above the law, and who's indifferent (if not hostile) to constitutional protections.
And, yes, maybe the judge is just a coward who plays to public opinion.

McCain's a Goddamn liar
[Read the article: Newsweek catches McCain in a serious contradiction]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Of course, you can't expect anything else from the bastard. He's been a District of Corruption Beltway hack for 26 years. He's as
ethically obtuse as Saint Hillary of Clinton and the rest of 'em.
-
Piss on the Israel Lobby and its controlled candidates
[Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Mort Kondrake, FAUX News warmonger, hopes that Israel will attack Iran (you know, to take out those nonexistent nuclear installations). He thinks that America should let Israeli planes overfly Iraq.
Sounds like a good neocon plan to get Iran attacked regardless.
Israel--or at least its lobby in this country--controls "American policy" in the Middle East. Whatever the boys back in Tel Aviv want from America, they get, no questions asked.
Just ask Hillary Clinton, Mad Bomber McCain, or Barak Obama to repudiate AIPAC. Hell, you'll see more hemming and hawing than if you asked why the Liar-in-Chief's daughters aren't in Iraq!

Let the press scrutinize Mad Bomber McCain
[Read the article: The ornery pride of the political journalist]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm waiting for the harsh scrutiny to fall on Mad Bomber McCain. You know, why he possibly collaborated with the North Vietnamese when he was shot down in October 1967; why he's owned by the Israel Lobby; why he's a warmongering nutcase; why he lied when he denied meeting with anyone from a company with a claim before the FCC. . . .
The Clinton campaign forced the press to work and eat inside a shithouse. And they did it.
Jesus H. Christ.

Piss on Fred Hiatt, and piss on Colombia
[Read the article: Fred Hiatt's foreign policy "principles"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Fred Hiatt's a morally obtuse neocon thug. Everything this cretin says must be considered in that light.
Regarding Colombia's invasion of Ecuador: Ecuador would be thoroughly justified in military retaliation, if it chooses to. Perhaps the South American nations should let Colombia know that if it pulls any more of this shit, Colombia will be hit with a combined attack.
Argentina's Foreign Minister Jorge Taiana had it right: "Respect for territorial sovereignty
is inviolable international law and no one can justify its violation." Mr. Foreign Minister, will you please tell that to the American Liar-in-Chief?!
-
Piss on the Liar-in-Chief and his whole criminal gang
[Read the article: Shocking new revelation: Unchecked government powers get abused]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Need I say more?!
-
Piss on the lap dogs of the American press!
[Read the article: Tucker Carlson unintentionally reveals the role of the American press]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yeah, piss on all of 'em. They lost their journalistic honor and self-respect when they sold out to the political establishment. Instead of fearlessly and vigorously digging up information and publishing it, the press today sucks the asses of the people they "cover."
Of course, this is especially true of the biggest names in journalism--the "pundits," the TV loudmouths, and the like. Self-styled founts of wisdom like George F. Will, David
("Voice of the People") Broder, Tim Russert, Brit Hume et al. are more concerned about getting invited to those exclusive Georgetown cocktail parties than they are about doing honest reporting. And not getting invited to the White House--well, that's a fate worse than death to these people!

Regards to Congressman-elect Bill Foster, Greenwald
[Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My compliments to Congressman-elect Bill Foster of Illinois. He took an explicit antiwar, no-immunity-for-telecoms stand during his campaign, and he won. Democrats in Congress, take note!
Mr. Greenwald, you're coming out with your new book "Great American Hypocrites." Personally, I hope you give the I'll-fight-to-the-last-drop-of-YOUR-blood chickenhawks--Bill Kristol, Jonah Goldberg, Rich Lowry et al.--a good pasting!
-
I'm hoping for a favorable outcome. . . .
[Read the article: Signs of life from House Democratic leaders]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Yes, it's encouraging that the House Democrats are showing signs of life in their formerly moribund carcasses. Maybe they'll start acting like--gasp!--an opposition party, and start opposing the Liar-in-Chief's neofascist bullshit.
-
More bullshit from TIME, huh?
[Read the article: Time magazine invents facts to claim that Americans support Bush's domestic spying abuses]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]That Goddamn TIME. No matter how often you call 'em on their bullshit, they just keep it up. And it's intentional, too.
Piss on TIME. Don't buy the rag, and don't read it.
-
Brian Ross is typical of the so-called "press"
[Read the article: The worst, sleaziest press corps possible]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I like Greenwald's opening sentence: "It just isn't possible for this country to have a more depraved and wretched press corps. . . ."
Preach it, brother!
I've got no time for Hillary Clinton, but this stuff from Brian Ross is just salacious bullshit. Personally, I don't care whether Hillary was in the White House when President "Blow Job Bill" Clinton was being serviced by Monica Lewinsky.
Slam Clinton hard on substantial issues. She's owned by the Israel Lobby, she's a bought-and-paid-for D.C. Beltway hack, and she
has warmongering inclinations. THAT's the stuff to cover, Mr. Ross, so get on with it.
-
John McCain: Scumbag
[Read the article: The media's special relationship with John McCain]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]John McCain. What do you say about him?
Israel Lobby-controlled warmonger...26-year D.C. Beltway hack...substandard naval aviator...ethically compromised scumbag.
Will the D.C. press pursue any of this? Not on your life. They represent the Establishment to the people, not the people to the Establishment.
David ("Voice of the People") Broder mildly took the Mad Bomber to task over the latter's
idiotic comments. Broder had better be careful--any more cracks like that, and he's persona non grata on the Georgetown cocktail party circuit!
-
The Chickenhawk-in-Chief
[Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The Chickenhawk-in-Chief wishes he could join the troops in battle. A laudable ambition.
He showed the same martial zeal in 1968, when he ducked into the Texas Air National Guard to avoid Vietnam.
-
Stephen Walt was right!
[Read the article: The ongoing exclusion of war opponents from the Iraq debate]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]My hearty compliments to Stephen Walt. His opposition to the Iraq war was dead on. And, because it was, he won't be interviewed or even mentioned by the pro-war, establishment press.
And, lest you forget, there's ANOTHER reason why Walt isn't the D.C. crowd's favorite pin-up boy. He and John Mearsheimer are the authors of "The Israel Lobby and American Foreign Policy," an ass-kicker of a book that
exposes the Israel Lobby's influence over "American policy" in the Middle East.
Mr. Walt, just because you're right is no reason for you to think you'll be listened to!
