  • Except for Dr. Paul, the candidates are neocons

[Read the article: The bipartisan consensus on U.S. military spending]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Judging from the candidates' statements quoted by Greenwald, it's obvious that they're

neocons (Paul excepted). They want to make a huge military even bigger, for whatever ulterior purposes that come to mind. There's no consideration given to retrenchment, no consideration given to pulling back our outmoded, far-flung deployments and bases.

We've got to get the hell out of Iraq, and scale back everywhere. Quit fighting Israel's war(s) for 'em, and cut foreign aid to Israel.

In sum, make the American military an EFFICIENT, EFFECTIVE military that serves America's interests--and no one else's.

  • These Goddamn neocons!

    [Read the article: Various items]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

These Goddamn neocons are something else. Did they ever do an honest day's work in their lives?

Generally, neocons have never held honest, productive jobs. They've never worked in the business world, they've never been in the military (THAT's for sure!). They're just paper-pushing parasites who yell for America to fight Israel's war(s).

Ciphers like daddy's boy Kristol, and momma's boy Jonah Goldberg, wouldn't be shit without their parents' connections.

  • Chickenhawk chickenshit Fred Thompson

[Read the article: The grave Iranian threat to world peace]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Greenwald mentions Fred Thompson's smartass, warmongering comments during the debate.

"K Street Fred" Thompson's a chickenhawk chickenshit sonofa-----. He's a career D.C. Beltway hack who's owned by everybody in town.

He's a piss-poor "actor" who must have attended the Chuck Norris School of Method Acting.

  • Anonymous:

[Read the article: The U.S. military inflicts more damage on its own credibility]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

From what I remember reading at the time, the skipper of VINCENNES, Captain Will Rogers, USN was considered something of a rogue, irresponsible officer. I presume there was a Court of Inquiry. What were the findings?

About the Tonkin Gulf "attack": Commander James B. Stockdale, USN was flying right over the destroyers MADDOX and C. TURNER JOY the night of August 4, 1964. Commander Stockdale, the squadron commander of VF-51 on board carrier TICONDEROGA, saw the tin cans maneuvering as if to avoid attack, and he heard their excited transmissions--"Torpedo bearing 080 degrees!," "Taking boat to port under fire with main battery!" and the like.

Stockdale realized that there was no "attack."

Indeed, the commodore on board MADDOX, Captain John Herrick, USN urged a complete evaluation of the incident before drawing any definite conclusions. (Read Stockdale's book "In Love & War" (1984).)

The Pentagon's accounts of the Iranian speed boats in the Strait of Hormuz should be regarded skeptically.

  • John King: Bullshitter!

[Read the article: CNN's John King responds]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

John King is symptomatic of what passes for the "press" today--ass-sucking, toadying scumbags who crawl on their hands and knees for crumbs from the hacks they cover.

Mr. King, I'm callin' ya out. What I want you to do is to go back to your buddy McCain and ask him this: "Mr. McCain, sir, your critics think you're a bought-and-paid-for D.C. Beltway hack, and a neocon warmonger. What about it?"

Let's see if you're man enough, Mr. King!

  • The "Parliament of Whores"--er, U. S. Congress

[Read the article: Lawbreaking telecoms still conniving to obtain immunity from Congress]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Bought-and-paid-for scumbags like Harry Reid, Jay Rockefeller, Diane Feinstein et al. are symptomatic of what the U.S. Congress is--a "Parliament of Whores," as P. J. O'Rourke put it. Most of 'em are owned by PACs, big contributors, lobbyists, and the like. Whenever Joe Sixpack goes up against the open-checkbook boys, he's in a decidedly inferior position!

By all means let your congressional hack(s) know how you feel about telecom immunity, and wish Dodd well.

  • Piss on Joe Klein and TIME magazine!

[Read the article: Joe Klein rewrites his role in the 1990s]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Joe Klein of TIME is a demonstrable liar. Despite this, he stays on at TIME, a morally bankrupt publication.

Let's hope TIME goes right down the crapper.

  • McCain's a piece of shit

[Read the article: The Headless McCain Smear]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

McCain knew damn well at the time that Bush was sliming him. Why didn't he do anything about it? He should have walked up to Bush and Rove and decked both of 'em.

That said, McCain--this D.C. Beltway hack, this Israel Lobby-controlled scumbag--would be a disaster as President.

  • Well said, Veteran71!

[Read the article: Your Harry Reid-led Senate in action]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

You're Goddamn right, Veteran71. Harry Reid's a despicable piece of shit who shouldn't even be in office. Of course, he's symptomatic of the "Parliament of Whores"--er, the U. S. Congress. The vast majority of these hacks are owned by PACs, lobbyists, big contributors, and the like.

Piss on Reid, Rockefeller, Feinstein. . . .

  • Mukasey's just another Constitution-flouting scumbag

[Read the article: Mukasey's radical worldview is now the norm]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Greenwald and Scott Horton sure have Mukasey pegged for what he is--a Constitution- and civil liberties-flouting scumbag. Of course, would the Liar-in-Chief have nominated any other kind?!

This country's in deep shit. How--or when--we'll get out of it remains to be seen. . . .

  • Piss on McCain, Clinton, Obama. . . .

[Read the article: Conceding John McCain's "toughness" on national security]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

McCain's a Goddamn nutcase. He's controlled by the Israel Lobby, and he'll do whatever they tell him to when it comes to "American policy" in the Middle East.

Hillary Clinton? She's controlled by the Israel Lobby, and she'll do whatever they tell her to when it comes to "American policy" in the Middle East.

Obama? Whether or not he's controlled by the Israel Lobby, he'd probably be another interventionist type, abusing American military power.

Dr. Ron Paul won't be on a national ticket, so

    I'm sitting this one out.

  • What the hell will America do now?

[Read the article: The Leader isn't protecting us and keeping us safe]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Goodness gracious! The "Protect America Act" has expired. I'm at full alert, and I'm ready to lock an' load. When the "Islamofascist" navy puts their army ashore at, say, Coney Island or Daytona Beach, FL, the shit will really hit the fan. To quote Field Marshal Rommel about a different D-Day, this will be "the longest day." I only hope that we throw the "Islamofascist" invaders into the sea.

Here in Minneapolis, I'm half expecting an "Islamofascist" airborne drop.

  • Piss on "The American Thinker"!

[Read the article: Radical Muslims threaten those who dissent]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Some horse's ass wrote the following on "The American Thinker": "The people of the United States do not possess unlimited patience with those who feel themselves above the Constitution that protects us all. . . ."

Listen up, you horse's ass, I've got "unlimited patience" with those who express their views, whether or not I agree with them. It's called "freedom of speech."

By the way, "Southerner," since you like the war so much, why don't you encourage the Liar-in-Chief's daughters to enlist? That might help bring in more cannon fodder, don't you think?!
