  • Saint Barack of Obama pisses on the rule of law!

[Read the article: Today's coverup of surveillance crimes and Barack Obama]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Saint Barack of Obama just pissed all over the essence of this country--namely, the rule of law and Constitutional protections. He voted to allow warrantless surveillance of Americans, and to hand the telecoms immunity from civil liability. Of course, it must be remembered that many other Democrats voted for this un-American bullshit, too.

This country's two-party system is a corrupt monopoly. And what do you get with a monopoly?

Shitty merchandise at inflated prices. This year, Saint Barack of Obama and Mad Bomber McInsane are the shitty goods being peddled to the American people.

Even if you're a non-voter, do as I do: Go to the polls and vote for the third party of your choice.

  • Congress: Thanks for nothing, you assholes

[Read the article: Congress votes to immunize lawbreaking telecoms, legalize warrantless eavesdropping]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The U.S. Congress is the best that money can buy. (Don't believe me? Just ask the telecoms.)

If I were a doctor, and I wanted to give the world an enema, I'd stick the nozzle right in the D.C. Beltway.

  • Vote third-party from now on

[Read the article: Democrats' strategy: Strength through bowing]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

The fact that Congress, aka the "Parliament of Whores," passed the freedom-trampling FISA bill highlights the institutional corruption of the two major parties. Neither the Republicans nor the Democrats care for the Constitutional basics anymore. Both parties serve the needs of the D.C. Beltway culture.

Given this reality--and things are not going to change anytime soon, if ever--why not start voting third-party? If you vote for Saint Barack of Obama, you're going to get more war, more interventionism, more big government, and warrantless surveillance. If you vote for Mad Bomber McInsane, you're going to get--well, more war, more interventionism, more big government, more warrantless surveillance.

As I say, start voting third-party.

  • Regarding the ACLU and EFF lawsuits. . . .

[Read the article: Interview with ACLU re: constitutional challenge to new FISA law]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Of course, I wish the ACLU and the EFF the best in their lawsuits against the new FISA law. Let's hope the cases don't come before ex-Federalist Society hacks. These bastards think the President's above the law, remember.

  • Jonathan Turley; Tim Rutten

[Read the article: Torture and the rule of law]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Professor Jonathan Turley: "I never thought I would say this, but I think it might, in fact, be time for the United States to be held

    internationally to a tribunal. . . .

"So, we've come to this ignoble moment where we could be forced into a tribunal and forced to face the rule of law that we've refused to apply to ourselves."

Well said, sir, and I associate myself with those comments. It's a shame that the Liar-in-Chief and his whole Goddamn cabal can't be hauled off to the International Criminal Court.

Tim Rutten, for his part, thinks the Liar-in-Chief's criminality is just something that we should vote against. No impeachment, no international investigations or condemnations, just vote him out of office.

Vote him out, and let the next President DO THE SAME THINGS.

  • American sheeple--er, people--THROW THE BASTARDS OUT!

[Read the article: Accountability Now and Strange Bedfellows: The strategy and rationale]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

I'd say this is one of Greenwald's best columns. He gives you chapter-and-verse as to why the Democrat-controlled Congress is Goddamn worthless when it comes to protecting civil liberties. He discusses the malign influence of D.C. lobbyists, in the person of one Steve Farber, chief fundraiser for the Democratic National Convention. Farber's no slouch as a string-puller--he'll work for anyone who has his checkbook out.

Greenwald favors reprisals against congressional hacks who piss on civil liberties. Sure, there's nothing wrong with going directly to the voters with hard-hitting

TV commercials, print ads, etc. spelling out why ASSHOLES like Steny Hoyer, Nancy Pelosi, Chris Carney, Harry Reid, Jay Rockefeller et al. ought be voted out.

The American people have GOT to take a hard look at their congressional hacks. If they're

apologists for criminality, for the Liar-in-Chief's travesties, THROW THE BASTARDS OUT.

  • Congressional cretins Rockefeller, Harman, Pelosi; Jonathan Turley

[Read the article: The motivation for blocking investigations into Bush lawbreaking]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Yes, in true District of Corruption Beltway fashion, the Beltway looks out for its own. By covering for the Liar-in-Chief's criminalilty, look-the-other-way assholes like Jay Rockefeller, Jane Harman, Nancy Pelosi et al. are covering for their own depredations.

Professor Jonathan Turley is a pleasure to listen to. He's unrelenting in his defense of civil liberties and the "rule of law." Greenwald is right to feature him.

  • Tom Friedman: Morally obtuse douche bag

[Read the article: Tom Friedman doesn't understand why America is unpopular in the world]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Tom Friedman, that neocon chickenhawk, can't understand why the USA isn't the world's pin-up boy anymore. Well, the reasons aren't that hard to understand--except if you're a neocon.

The Liar-in-Chief's government has turned American into a rogue state. We invaded

and devastated Iraq, a country which didn't attack us and, indeed, had NOTHING to do with the September 11 attacks. We hector, badger, and threaten anyone who disagrees with us. Israel, whose criminality equals our own, is both propped up and protected by the U.S.

Robert Mugabe isn't invading and threatening other countries. (Mugabe wiretaps his own people, but so does the U.S., so I guess we're on equal (low) ground there!) Israel, by

the way, is a big supporter of Robert Mugabe.

See Justin Raimondo's April 11, 2008 column at

    Antiwar.com.

In sum, Mr. Friedman, when America is no longer true to its ideals, we really shouldn't be surprised when the rest of the world gives us--as you put it--a "thumbs down"!

  • Fascist judicial bullshit

[Read the article: Al-Marri and the power to imprison U.S. citizens without charges]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

This ruling by the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals is nothing but fascist bullshit. Are the judges who were in the majority members of the Federalist Society? Those bastards think the President's above the law, remember.

Looks like American law is rapidly catching up to Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe!

  • Piss on Brad Blakeman, piss on Freedom's Watch. . . .

[Read the article: The right-wing understanding of Government]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]

Brad Blakeman, like every official in the Liar-in-Chief's administration, is morally obtuse. The Attorney General is (or is SUPPOSED to be) the country's chief legal officer. The American people are his "clients." Of course,

the U.S. Department of (In)Justice has been so corrupted, so degraded under the likes of John Ashcroft, Roberto Gonzales, and Michael Mukasey as to be unrecognizable.

Piss on Freedom's Watch. It's just another everything-for-Israel front organization full of neocon chickenhawks.
