Alex is on to something, but the left won't listen

Because I typically disagree with much that goes on at Salon and especially Alex’s comments, I always feel compelled to make a point to express when we are in agreement. In two of Alex’s recent articles he makes some great points. In a previous article he states, “The fact that these events have exploded the way they have, all over the country, is still a rflection -- albeit far from a perfect one -- of the national mood, and of the anger on the right.”

In addition, in this current article he makes a point to express to the left that the poll numbers should not be ignored. I believe both articles indicate Alex is a head of the time in terms of the rest of his party.

From a strategical stand point, the left is screwing this all up and because they can not help themselves nor turn to a more updated playbook, they will probably continue on this course.

While talking points are fun and easy to learn, unless the left can create something new and actually support what they believe in, they will continue to plummet in the polls and will continue to be subject to the American people voicing their dismay.

You see it here on all of these boards with the mindless echoing of “paid protestors” and how these people are horrible individuals and as close to un-American as it gets. But these are not winning arguments. For starters, while the far left and their air of superiority keeps them from feeling like facts are necessary to convince the “idiot people”, the people truly do appreciate and like facts. I am not implying facts are being disseminated by the town hall crowds, but am saying that the left is not bringing them to the table either. Facts are the trump card that always wins. Will there still be idiots on both sides that ignore them and continue on their merry way, of course, there always are.

By and large though, facts, when expressed, win out.

Conservative Terrorists and murder of other doctors

So Silenced, what other "conservative terrorists" are you scared pantless about? Or are they hiding in the bushes, just waiting to pounce? Shhhhh . . . they're listening right now . . .

And we should kill other doctors too, right kitty? Because the murder of doctors is just happening allllll the time isn't it? This seems to be an almost decade occurance. Or perhaps, Tiller's murder was the beginning. It was the beginning that Silenced was talking about.

RUN FOR THE HILLS

My only question, is can I run for the hills? I mean, do I have the right to run away from these conservative terrorists? I don't have a womb, so do I really have that right?

The conspiracy has been found and it is in this room

Pro-lifers are worse than Bin Laden. Pro-lifers are terrorists. Pro-lifers have no right to speak. Pro-lifers really killed Tiller.

Do you people ever step back to read what you post or do you even care? The saddest part of the abortion "debate" has always been the people that are lost in the mix, like those that actually go through it. False sympathies fly around for the Tiller family and for the women who go through abortions and/or unwanted pregnancies, but it is all a facade for the real fanatics that come on here to spout their hate speech.

Slow Day???

I felt I owed it to Alex to waste my time reading this since he felt obligated to waste his time talking about . . . (drum roll), Joe the Plumber! Forget the blatant attack on what liberals like to call free speech when it fits their way of thinking (which it obviously doesn't here), or the fact that this was from a religious stand point which makes it even funnier to criticize, as we have come to believe that being religious means thinking and feeling whatever you want (except here of course). No, the funniest part is to think that Joe the Plumber has even risen to a point on Alex's list as someone deserving one of his poorly written pieces. Is he this important a figure in the lives of liberals? Has a conservative's stance on homosexuality been a mystery until Joe's great revelation? Better yet, is this a strange stance from a religious point of view? Or was it just a slow day for finding something to write?

Original article: Party like it's 1995!

@ Blunderdog

You and I can discuss what I am talking about or you can ignore it to ramble on about things which you have no proof, despite being right in front of you (my posts).

In addition, I make no apologies for McCain or my ever supporting McCain because on that one, I never did. I ceased to even consider myself anywhere close to a republican years before the GOP had self annointed Rudy as the successor of Bush (which obviously didn't happen). So move on.

If you want to discuss the issues, let's go for it, but it is obvious you have no desire to discuss anything, so you crap out with some bs nonsense of credibility and how you have memories. I was prepared for you to break out into "I had a dream", but then that would take a little research as well, wouldn't it?
