Ollie North??

That Ollie North?? The criminal -- the liar who covered for the crooks in the Reagan WH?? He's outta jail already?? They let this guy speak in public?? And people actually listen to what he says?? I thought he disappeared years ago -- partly because he's a convicted felon, a known liar and a ass-kissing stooge to boot. Not to mention his mental-challenges. In some places, people who screwed up as bad as he usually do the honorable thing -- eat their service revolver.

Sheesh. Just goes to show.

Mitt's Rambler

The Maverick was indeed a dandy -- up there with the Vega (does anybody remember the Vega?) Then the was the Pacer (escapee from the Jetsons) and the Frankenstein's boot called the Gremlin.

My favorite, and I mean it seriously, especially with the three-on-the-tree manual transmission was the Rambler, or where I came from, the Mormon-mobile . . .

Used Cars -- big Business

Well, Cuba still runs a fleet of pre-revolution cars that are often lovingly kept together (literally) by their owners and the ingenuity of the human spirit. Speaks volumes about how well those dinosaurs were put together. I know that in Japan, people have to pay to get rid of their used cars. The vehicle inspections there are very intense and expensive, so it just doesn't pay to keep an older car. Most are in fine condition, and are swept up by happy entrepreneur from the third world. They are shipped off to central Asia, and I suppose, go on to service the folks there. The problem here is -- people really don't care as long as it is new and big. In other words, the driver of that SUV or Hummer or humungous pickup truck (in most cases -- there actually are real working vehicles) really doesn't give a rough rodeo you-know-what about anyone or anything and that is his/her way to give everyone in the world the bird.

BTW -- driving by the Church of Latter Day Saints on a Sunday morning was a lot like attending the Sturgis event, I'd imagine. All those Ramblers, all those Harleys.

Petticoat Junction, Green Acres, & The No Spin Zone

Limited Vocabulary writes: ”When I say the media are liberal I mean quite simply that they vote Democrat by a large margin (studies have born this out) and tilt left in some of their coverage."

Let's see if I have this correct. I mean, your writing is a tad obtuse and follows that silly Rushie / Freeker-republic line. Democrats are liberals? I'm sorry, but perhaps you'd better define what you mean by 'liberal'. Seems you are a leetle fuzzy here my dittohead friend. What you folks consider 'liberals' are what most people on the Planet would call a conservative. There are very very few 'liberals' in 'Murica.

"You are confusing the terms 'liberal' (What the MSM is) with 'political tribalist and conservative hater' (what you guys are).Fortunately, most people in this country aren't like you people." Unfortunately, for you, very very few people are like 'you' people. Time to move into the 19th century already, wot??

Your line of reasoning may go down well down at Floyd's Barbershop, and I'm sure that Aunt Bea would approve, but really . . .

Good On Ya, Sparky

Lefty Fuckwit?? Sheesh, the angriest boy at the birthday party is here this evening. Sorry, don't know why you wingnuts get so aggro (I say it must be something in the diet), but as 95% of the world says, who gives a flying fernando what some peckerwood has to say about the political spectum. Specially when they're on the underbelly of it.

You should actually chew your food before you swallow . . .

Sorry, Broke Rule Number One

Don't feed the trolls. Don't encourage 'em. These poor fools go out lookin' for a lickin'. As my pop used to say. never get into a pissing argument with a midget, especially a mental one. Sorry folks.

Funny Thing About Those Canucks

They go south of the border and something real strange happens to 'em.

How did these apples fall so far from the tree??

And Yes I Realize Jack Bauer Is . . .

. . . . only a fictional character. I have no idea of what his political beliefs are.

I just wish David Frum was, too.

Not So Much 'Thrasher' As 'Flounder'

Y'all sound p!ssed off at something-or-other but you're coming off like the Stick from her Confederate Flag Rant t'other day. Ole Stick was zonkered out of her skull -- look at her eyes and you can see that this woman has problems -- but on The-Talking-Chin Program she was definitely under the influence of something besides Carletons. Thrasher, suggest a few cups of hot coffee and a little rehab. Maybe sort some of your issues out . . .

shooter -- Is That 'Murican For Quisling??

shooter242, whom I seriously doubt will stick around to go down with the Battleship Potemkin as it is scuttled by all the guys with the big hats and medals (like all the other ratz he'll be pushing all the old ladies and kids off the life rafts) -- has but 1 life to give for his country. Someone else's. Shooter, didn't I meet you on Campus not so long ago?? Playing paintball, bad-mouthing illegal immigrants, supporting the war, but vehemently defending your right NOT to go into the military . . . .

"What's that?? Other priorities?? You're needed on the homefront?? Someone's got to keep the homefires burning??"

Well, shooter, when they come to get you, I'm sure that someone, maybe even one of those danged Un-American commies in the ACLU will stand up for you.

Sheesh, pitiful.

Iraq -- A Muslim Nation??

News to me. Probably news to a lot of folks . . .

"Whoever installed a woman as ambassador to a Muslim nation was an idiot."

Iraq was certainly no 'Muslim' nation.
