  • Guess again, AKA

Let's skip the plagiarism thing. It was hashed and rehashed, and I read every word of the arguments. I think Xrandadu won that particular argument, but it's not important to me.

However, look at what you do in your comments above. McSatan???? That is just silly and not very clever.

I do not use words like Satan lightly, AKA Smith. I'm not just throwing it out there as an epithet. The man was a POW, was tortured, and not only won't he shut down the Cuban concentration camp, he says the Supreme Court decision to give the prisoners habeas corpus is one of the worst decisions ever. Move over mind Dred Scott. He plans to continue the pointless mass murder that is the Iraq war.

Even further, he took a, "stroll," in Iraq, wearing a flak-jacket, surrounded by Marines, with snipers at the ready, as a way to justify the war. He said that it was like walking in an open air market in Indiana. The next day, several people he spoke to at that open air market were murdered, in apparent retaliation.

So what did he do? He went back for another photo-op. What happened? People were murdered the next day in retaliation.

So, if you disagree, that's fine, but don't tell me I'm spitting wild hyperbole, or that it has anything to do with my support of Obama. I despised McCain long before I'd ever even heard of Obama. I didn't realize he was actually and literally evil until more recently.

    McCain is not Satan.

    Agree to disagree.

Hillary is not a Castrating Witch.

I never said anything at all close to that. She ran a dirty campaign, though, against her own party.

    Obama wears no Angel's Wings.

    I never said he did.

If anything has characterized the Democratic primary, it has been the quickness with which Obama supporters have defended his slightest missteps

Usually against completely over-the-top and baseless insults of the kind you're accusing me of making against McCain. But not this time.

and the lengths (combative) to which they have gone to demonize his opponents.

Again, I'm very, very familiar with McCain, and have been long before I knew anything about Obama. Don't paint me with your wide brush.

As for Clinton, I liked her before the primary. Now I don't, but she's sure as hell no demon, and I'd vote for her if she were the nominee.

As to my support, it matters little. I live in Texas, which will undoubtedly go to McCain. However, in my posts here, I do not intend to waste my energy in pointless polemic. I have free speech to criticize Obama and I intend to do so when I think he is wrong.

You have every right to do so. I wonder, however, if you know as much about McCain as I do. He'd use the constitution to wipe his bottom if it would make him president. He doesn't have a single principle, that you can point to, that he has maintained over his career. He now says he wouldn't even support his own campaign finance reform bill, today. The man is a shameless opportunist. And, he's evil.

Is he wrong or not in caving to the status quo on this bill? I contend that he is wrong. Where are you on the defense of our constitution?

That's something you're right about. It is wrong. It is 100% wrong. However, the vote hasn't been taken yet, and already, most of the people hear are ready to tar and feather him. I'll be even more disappointed if he actually votes for the crap. I'm hoping against hope that he left himself an out, to vote against the bill on the basis of the immunity clause.

I think reserving judgment until the vote is cast is the least we owe, don't you?

You seem to have missed me entirely. I've never been the unqualified Obamabot you make me out. He was never my first choice. But now, he's all that lies between John McCain, and the presidency, and just as you reserve the right to criticize Obama, I reserve the right to tell the truth about McCain, and try to talk some sense into the disgruntled faction of our party that are considering letting that sociopath win.

  • Well, Walter, for once I hope you're right

And to all you disgruntled voters out there threatening to stay home, vote McCain, vote third party, whatever....

If you support a candidate who is in favor of mass torture, mass murder, and the imperial presidency, you can go straight to hell. You're not my kind of liberal, so get the hell out of the party and quit whining about it. Don't pretend you're independent, show some courage and register as a Republican.

You will reap what you sow, and you deserve what you get. I'm done trying to argue with fools.

  • Lies

Sen. Hillary Clinton was forced out of this election, even though she is the People's President and won more votes than anyone in history of the primaries.

Except for Senator Obama. He got more votes.

Only if you do count Puerto Rico, and don't count Iowa, does your math make any, "sense." But I'm sure you know that, as a typical Clinton hypocrite.
