No, you're not a concern troll, KateTex
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Just a troll. Allow me to explain the difference. A concern troll pretends to be on the side of the people they're arguing against, but they're just "concerned" that that person may be on the wrong track. You, however, lose all your concern troll street cred, and just move into plain old troll territory, when you post crap like this:
At this point, absolutely nothing in my conscience tells me I have any obligation at all to vote for Obama should he become the nominee. I don't believe him much of the time, nor do I believe in him, or even like him. You can call that racism; I call it my right to make a judgment based on the available evidence.
You seem to forget the past 8 years. 8 LONG years of Republican lock-step voting, abuse of executive power, nomination of reactionary "federalists", cronyism, corruption of the constitution, and other treasonous crimes that have been perpetrated by the Bush administration. Furthermore, I'm only 31, but it seems I'm more familiar with Republican rule than you are. Every single Republican in the last 50 years has saddled us with debt (currently 30k per USA citizen), gotten us into pointless wars, and furthered the divide between rich and poor. If that isn't reason enough to vote for someone who professes progressive ideals, even if you are skeptical, nothing is.
In case you can't tell, I'm skeptical as hell of your (allegedly progressive) candidate. I see her as a typical, DLC, "Democrat," long on promises and short on delivery, like her husband. But will I vote for her if she pulls off her miracle? YOU BET YOUR ASS I WILL! We can't afford McCain. McCain is the END of our country. You think it's hyperbole? Go ahead with your clowning. Vote for McCain, or refuse to vote for Obama, it's really the same thing. I will move to Vancouver, and cry out to the winds, and pray for you all.

ProudTexasTroll
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Second, to all you holier-than-though
Well, I'm not particularly religious, but I'd say I'm holier than thee, and a better speller to boot. Thou sayest though when ye mean thou.
sex positive, scared of strong women, closet haters,
At this point, I'll take a closet hater over an overt hater such as yourself. I had an acquaintance in high school who admitted being a neo nazi, used the n word regularly, and still couldn't touch you for your hate.
guilty-over-race, hypocrites you are fucking missing the point. I AM VOTING FOR MCCAIN BECAUSE HE IS THE BETTER CANDIDATE COMPARED TO OBAMA.
Okay, I'll bite. Name exactly one thing that McCain has even promised to do that will be better than what Obama has promised to do. We're waiting with bated breath.
I am not a Democrat first, I am a THINKER FIRST.
Oh, yeah, that's pretty obvious. We're just quibbling about policy details.

squalorholla, you must be new here
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Troll slaying is a daily job hereabouts. I hope you don't mean me, but if so, I'd be happy to take your criticisms. You seem like a nice person.

ProudTexasTroll, project much?
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]You represent all that is Obama, and all that is wrong with the world.
Is that all? Whew. I thought I was a fire-breathing dragon who eats babies
Sex positive my ass.
Interesting word choice.
Would love to get a look in your closet my dear--my my we reveal much with just those two words.
In my closet you'll find Shogun, Cryptonomicon, Snow Crash, the complete works of Heinlein, and a commodore 64. That's all I need in my evil bid to take over the world.
You got my point because you are smart, but evil.
You have a point?
Actually, you got my points. You just don't care. You are more reprehensible than the ignorant, and thus more guilty. But we are all adults here, and we must take responsibility at this point for our acts, non-acts, and words.
You've never even tried to discuss my words. You just engage in ad-hominem attacks with little or no substance, paint all Obama supporters with your ugly little brush, and ironically act smugly superior to everyone else at the same time as castigating Obama for his smugness and elitism.
Sometimes I wonder if you that claim to be godless really are. I think that you must be, because if there ever was a judgment day you could never do and say what you do and say.
Religionless doesn't equal godless. In any case, I certainly don't fear your fairy tale of a judgment day, even if it were real.

Oh, and by the way, ProudTexasTroll
[Read the article: What does Hillary want?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have been up for two days
That could explain your psychosis. Really, try to get some more sleep, darlin' (as long as we're with the pet names).

Wow!
[Read the article: Can Democrats learn to talk about race?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I'm only about 19 pages in so far, but this is one of the best letters sections that Joan Walsh has had in a long, long time. Sure, there are some of the usual suspect nut-jobs, but they're actually being balanced by insightful, calm, level headed commentary.
I'm sure that will change by page 38, but hey, it's good while it lasts!

Why is no one saying
[Read the article: Was Hillary channeling George Wallace?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Ummm.... scoreboard?
How exactly does Hillary argue a "broader base" of support when she's lost the popular vote?
