Question for former President Clinton, et.al.
[Read the article: The Clinton-Obama contest gets rougher]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I have read and heard both you and Sen. Clinton declare that because Barack Obama voted, the same as Sen. Clinton, to continue to fund and support the troops when he came to the U.S. Senate, that means he has supported the war....that his opposition to the war has not been consistent. If we are to accept your position, does it not follow that Sen. Clinton has not been opposed to the war until very recently? That every vote she has cast to initiate and then continue the funding has also been in support of the war in Iraq?
On Meet the Press, Sen. Clinton said she has always opposed pre-emptive war, yet she voted to continue funding it. Seems to me, you can maintain that Sen. Obama has supported the war only if you agree that Sen. Clinton has consistently shown support for the war as well.

What's good for the goose
[Read the article: Obama declines debate invite, so Clinton will go it alone]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Perhaps MSNBC will offer Senator Obama a "candidate forum" if Senator clinton backs out of the scheduled debate. The voters deserve no less, afterall.

What was she thinkin'?
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton, sniper fire and Sinbad]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]So, has anyone asked this woman why she would take her only child with her into a war zone, with snipers? Why would she allow the plane to land when there was active sniper fire? Commander-in-Chief caliber judgement? I don't think so.

Nothing but a miscalculation
[Read the article: Hillary Clinton's long strange journey on Iraq]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hillary Clinton knew exactly what she voted for. If she did not know how George Bush would "abuse" the resolution, she is not as intelligent as she seems. She wanted the "tough-enough" image this vote would give her when she finally ran for President. My husband and I are not political experts (and we both voted for Bill Clinton), but we discussed her vote at the time for the insincere calculation that it was. Subsequent events did not work out the way she had hoped. Her vote was a cynical, selfish one.
I dread the eventuality that she and her husband will inhabit the White House again. Past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior....I already know way too much about Bill Clinton's personal life. I do not have the fortitude to endure another 4 or 8 years of a Clinton in the White House.
I have been appalled at the level of cynicism and misrepresentation demonstrated by the Clinton campaign, and Sen. Clinton herself.

So Move Already
[Read the article: Moving beyond Obama and race]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am beginning to grow impatient with the talking heads and journalists who continue to preface their comments with "I dont believe Barack Obama meant to say..." or "I know Barack Obama is not..." and then continue to relate questions or concerns "others may have." If you have a legitimate basis for your "concerns" about Barack Obama's beliefs or policies on race, then please enlighten the rest of us. If not, then move on.

Thik this will make it to TV?
[Read the article: "It is possible ... that she misspoke"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I hope so.

Just not this woman
[Read the article: Americans more ready for a black president than a woman?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am very ready for a woman president, just not a woman married to Bill Clinton. I don't want to be subjected to four or eight more years of too much information about his personal life. I have looked upon their return to the White House with dread, and it had almost nothing to do with her, until she started to run such a really negative campaign.

Hillary just needs to keep telling them
[Read the article: Did the "bitter" flap affect the race?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I imagine Hillary's camp may be feeling a bit frustrated with how dense the "insulted" voters in small towns seem to be....to the Hillary camp. Don't those voters understand? This is the opportunity she has been waiting for to stand up for the little people? So, listen-up you small town voters! Start feeling grateful!
And don't even start thinking about how much she and Bill may have made last year....added to the $107 million (2001-2006 income) we know about. I don't imagine this year's return will be made available anytime soon.

Where to begin?
[Read the article: Looking past Pennsylvania]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I imagine you were not asked to sign the letter about ABC because it has been apparent for quite some time that you are not an Obama supporter, and seem to accept the premise that the petty, gotcha questions that are always asked of candidates really matter. I find it telling that you attribute the motive to "having too many women" already.
Senator Obama is probably keeping his chats with journalists to a minimum because he really is tired of getting the same old petty questions that have been asked and answered ad nauseum.
I have been a very consistent reader of Salon, HuffPo, First Read, Politico, RCP, Kos, etc. for many months now (years, for Salon), and I know I have just about reached my limit with the pettiness, and pack mentality of most of the MSM and many of the blogs. Journalists preface their TV spot or blog with "I know this is not reality, but..." and then proceeds to reiterate the latest bs point from the campaigns.
Hillary and Bill Clinton continue to misrepresent, exaggerate, threaten, pander, etc. anything and everything they "need" to to win. How many evenings has Hillary spent in the past, up to this point in her life knocking back shots with the boys at the local bar? The next time she states something to the effect that "We choose our pastors," someone needs to point out that we also choose our spouses, and hers humiliated her on an international scale. She states that Obama is unelectable....just wait until the Republicans present us all with Bill's exploits since leaving the WH. You just have to know they have probably bought and paid for at least a few evenings entertainment....just so they'll have video and testimonials.
Her latest ploy of claiming a lead in the popular vote tears it completely. I will not even consider voting for her.
