They pop up everywhere

I think we're seeing the beginning of Shawn of the Living Dead.

Not

It certainly will be interesting to see if Tapper outs himself in the course of his news journalism.

Limbo looking more like Goering all the time, has achieved perfect sonic equivalence

Hitler wasn't in the same league as Bush. How many Nimitz-class carriers did Hitler have?

And then there's the nukes. Does anyone here believe the history of nucular attack has been completely written? (and will "nucular" make it into Webster's)

Bottom Line

It's a full-scale attack on the rule of law, ie, democracy.

Baby-boomers' credo: You Only Live Once

Tuesday, July 28, 2009 10:40 AM

yeah, from within, sure

but how is it going to get, what, 50,000-100,000 of "them" in prison serving their sentences or awaiting execution? Note, I'm just talking about retaking the United States, never mind the rest of the world. Actual physical control of the United States a la "we the people."

How many of them are there in the core group and how many divisions do they have; in any list of "questions" they would be at or near the top on mine.

Excellent post, thanks! I have heard of the Iroquois Confederacy, but have not researched the subject. From what I remember hearing, it was presented as being a last-ditch effort to stave off the inevitable European takeover of their land, but the information you present suggests that it was much deeper than that. I shall begin my education immediately, once again, thanks!

The outline of a New American Economy begins to be formed

If they want to make a serious effort to imprison EVERYONE who would like to see Americans dead, they're going to need about 100,000 Gitmos. Goldhagen counted 10,003 or so in his study, but, seeing as the American branch is going 10 X bigger than their predecessors, the numbers do match the reality.

Screw Cronkite! (Is it too soon?)

Slightly o/t but the entire Apollo 11 mission is being replayed right now - as of right now, 11:35 AM PDT they are 170,746 nautical miles from Earth and 53 hrs into the mission:

http://wechoosethemoon.org/

you can stream the mission control audio of the entire mission while you surf here to Glenn's blog, I'm listening to it right now! It's just static! (the 0.3 degree/sec rotation of the spacecraft to provide thermal distribution affecting the hi-gain antennae)

Totally cool site!

30,000 feet

I love that 30,000 feet bit. That's what he thinks about us.

These guys have done enough, they have gotta go.

The Whole Crew

The whole crew of them - legislative, judicial, administrative - are bought and paid for stooges of those fu*ks who are playing "Master" with us.

Re your "until" comment, the thing about Americans: you "erupt." And you don't "riot," you "get busy." I think there's still enough of that spirit kicking around even in these decadent times. (speaking as a Canadian, which these days is much the same thing as being an American)

Original article: IKEA is as bad as Wal-Mart

Two items out of dozens I can think of

In the early 80's Nike introduced its Lava Dome, the first modern era hiking shoe. Prior to the Lava Domes people hiked in the same style leather boot their grandfather used to wear. Needless to say, they were wildly popular and flew off the shelves. So what did Nike do? After a couple years they discontinued the Lava Dome so they could flog a new sooper-duper Lava Domish Deluxio at about double the price. So for the next decade another company called Hi Tec sewed up the market (in Canada) for good-quality low-cost hiking shoes... until NAFTA, that is. Now the same Hi Tec shoe, or rather the same Hi Tec shoe model, costs a bit less than it used to (inflation adjusted), but wears out much faster. A shoe that used to last through a year of severe use now wears out after 6 months of city sidewalks.

Levi jeans is the other example. Prior to NAFTA a pair of Levi jeans would last me for one year at least. Now the same model of jeans costs a bit less than it used to and wears out twice as fast.

For this we shipped all our factories to China? I would rather have the old Levis that were made in USA.

To Do List: Singing in the bus

the system is SO broken, it simply needs to be trashed and we need to start over. How will that be done? Perhaps that is what we need to start spending time discussing.

-- Intercooler

I already suggested the new natl anthem be Robert Burns' Ode to a Mouse sung to the tune of If I Only Had A Brain.

If you just started singing it on the transit on the way to work, it might catch on. From that it's one small step to a New Constitutional Convention after a peaceful bloodless popular revolution and the quick unconditional surrender by the powerful to the people's will.

Um, my guess

American citizens, within the United States. Large numbers of them.

Monday, July 6, 2009 07:45 AM

NOB - Eric Rudolph

Further to that, didn't the locals aid and abet this terrorist-murderer for a couple of years?

Way to go, red white and blue American citizens! You're a credit to your country.

To make a large group requires a lot of people to act alone

Print up 50 copies of your favorite article and/or comments and hand them out on your way to work. Don't forget the urls. I think I'm going to print a bunch of cards which also are cheap with just "News, Not Infotainment" as header and a url such as the one to this blog. I think you can get 500 for about 20 bucks or something. I'll start leaving them everywhere I go.

Hey that was weird!

The message I posted in the next universe slipped into this one... hmm I think I'll go say hi to that blonde again today.

It wasn't Stalin so much as all the little Stalins

Last week I replied to a post in the Atlanta CL with a note about the BBC documentary by Alan Curtis called "The Power of Nightmares" and urged him/her to see it. The post got flagged and deleted within minutes. Interesting thing about CL is that it is heavily trolled by cops... okay, okay, all manner of deviants.
