  • Strange Bedfellows agree

As the parent of a daughter who was diagnosed with a prenatal genetic disorder, I thank God for some rational approach to this problem. Hearing that my daughter would probably die at birth was the worst day of my life. Continuing the pregnancy was a very difficult decision and although I am opposed to abortion, I could not judge anyone who had made a different decision. Much more support is needed for any woman who faces a tough decision like this. We should spend more time on prevention of abortion rather than trying to outlaw abortion. By the way, our daughter turned 18 Saturday and takes algebra, social studies and English at our local high school.
