Bill Clinton isn't "black", and Hillary isn't "latina" ... Get a Grip!

"Bill Clinton was famously anointed our "first African-American president" by Toni Morrison. But after his recent demeaning comments about the African-American vote for Barack Obama, I think it more likely that Hillary could end up as our first Latina president."

R. Rodriquez

========================================================

Ms. Morrison's comment was meant as a "term of endearment", made TEN years ago, when no one ever imagined, we'd have a candidate such as Barack Obama (Magna Cum Laude Harvard Law graduate, Constitutional Law Professor, President of Harvard Law Review) running for President.

Frankly, I found Bill Clinton's race-baiting last month insulting to all Americans.

Trivializing Obama's candidacy to get hispanic votes is one of the most despicable political strategies imaginable, and nothing to be proud of.

How pathetic! It's a strategy to be ashamed of. Yet, latinos seemed to ignore it. And perhaps for good reason.

Have you ever seen crabs at the bottom of a barrel? The only way a few can get to the top is by pushing the "others" down.

Is THAT a good strategy for "unifying" the country? I don't think so!!

I'm voting the issues, NOT race or gender.

I'm voting for unity, not balkanization. Why can't latinos do the same?

Wouldn't a smarter strategy for latinos be to move forward with the ISSUES. Their ethno-centric bigotries should have no place in American politics in 2008. Frankly, I'm sick of hearing "black" this, and "latino" that. We are all AMERICANS!! Can't we vote as Americans instead of color-coded specs on a map!?

Racism and sexism are divisive chapters in American history which I do NOT care to re-read, revisit or reinvent.

This country is in big economic trouble and registered voters are best advised to vote on the issues that will affect their lives. At this critical time, race-baiting or gender baiting has NO place in American politics. NOT in 2008!

I vote for Unity!

I vote for Obama.

Yes, we can!

Si, Se Puede!

Vote for Change!

Tsk, tsk .. SHAME on YOU!

"I'm a man. I wholeheartedly support Senator Clinton, and recommend Latinas/Latinos, and white male working class/middle class voters support her, entirely, in the next weeks ahead.-- zenheadPermalink Saturday, February 9, 2008 05:05 AM"

=========================================================

Sad to see this .... not very "liberal" or open-minded of you ...

Another unenlightened person voting RACE and GENDER.

I challenge everyone here to vote on the ISSUES!

BALKANIZATION vs. UNITY

Re: "but at the same time you want to sit up and call whites racist because of the immigration uproar that has been going on for the last few years."-- Keithy Permalink Sunday, February 10, 2008 03:01 PM

==============================================

Hey Keithy:

I too find that so odd.

Latinos scream racism, yet they themselves are racist. This is so strange to me. As is evidenced by the picture at the front of this article ... "Latinas for Hillary" .... Sadly, these people ARE balkanizing America and destroying what we've worked so hard for - UNITY!

Sunday, February 17, 2008 08:04 AM

So, true ... and I'm sick of her sudden, unwarranted attacks!

Geesh!

She's like a rabid pitbull ...

you never know when she's gonna turn on you.

Race-baiting and her lies ....

Had it not been for the race-baiting she and her husband did two months ago, she would still have my support. There's enough racism in world.

I don't like the subliminal messages the Clintons planted in the minds of the American public.

What is clear to me is, the Clintons will do anything to "win".

I guess that's a good quality for a President to have ...

UNFETTERD RUTHLESSNESS.

I can be ruthless too, and vote for McCain.

Hello Hillary? Grow up!

Her behavior reminds me of my childhood.

When all the neighborhood kids would play games, if the "bully" of the group was losing, she would tell everyone THEY were cheating and go change the rules.

Billary KNOWS the rules. It's about the DELEGATES. Always was. Always has been.

But since SHE doesn't have 'em, and Obama does, SHE wants to change the rules of the game. Like a spoiled high school girl, she screams, "but I'm the most popular, I'm the most popular".

Popular vote? That's IN NOVEMBER, and Billary knows it.

Right now, she needs DELEGATES.

Obama's got 'em, she doesn't.

Period!

She knows the rules.

But like the neighborhood bully, if she's not winning, then everyone's rules need to be changed FOR HER!

Hillary Clinton is now the Tracy Flick (played by Reese Witherspoon) of Democratic politics.

Monday, June 2, 2008 08:30 AM

I can't wait till "it's over" ...

Billary is giving me a headache.

I don't even think "the media" understands ...

WE'RE SICK OF BILLARY!

NOW QUIT AND GO AWAY!

And BTW, Dear Mrs. Clinton ... see a shrink .. please!

You've got a severe case of NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER.

Original article: Rush Limbaugh was right

Every racist and bigot I know LOVES that cover.

Yep. Every racist I know LOVES that cover.

They think it's hilarious. Why? Because they HATE blacks.

Their reaction alone validates The New Yorker's bad judgement.

SHAME on the New Yorker.

If Obama were Asian or Latino would The New Yorker have done a cover like this? An asian with slits for eyes and buck teeth, or a latino with gold chains around his neck carrying hub caps?

Would THAT be funny for a Presidential candidate?

I don't think so!

THIS is THE WORST! !! Disgusting!!

Alaskans Speak: Palin is a "Racist, Sexist, Vindictive, and Mean"

by Charley James –

“So Sambo beat the **tch!”

This is how Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin described Barack Obama’s win over Hillary Clinton to political colleagues in a restaurant a few days after Obama locked up the Democratic Party presidential nomination.

Racial and ethnic slurs may be “just Alaska” and, clearly, they are common, everyday chatter for Palin.

Besides insulting Obama with a Step-N’-Fetch-It, “darkie musical” swipe, people who know her say she refers regularly to Alaska’s Aboriginal people as “Arctic Arabs” – how efficient, lumping two apparently undesirable groups into one ugly description – as well as the more colourful “mukluks” along with the totally unimaginative “f**king Eskimo’s,” according to a number of Alaskans and Wasillians interviewed for this article.
