[Read more letters about this article: Here]I watched the Powell speech at the UN on Canadian television and flipped back and forth during the commentary afterwards to compare and contrast and it was like night and day.
The overall tone on CBC was "you're kidding? you expect people to buy this?"
Then I flipped over to CNN where the 'expert' panel of lobbyists, talking heads and right wing nuts were going off about immediate threats, terrorists, FEAR, FEAR, FEAR!!!
Utter rubbish.
Americans should be ashamed that they bought into this nonsense.

Bacteria, like all life, evolves. We get to see it in bacteria because a 1000 generations of bacteria can cycle within a matter of years.
Eventually, the bacteria grows resistant to anti-biotics and adapts itself to survive what would have killed previous generations. Hence the need for newer forms of penicillin.
There should be a test of faith for creationists, if they truly believe, then they shouldn't have a problem saying 'no' to antibiotics.
Stupid bastards.

Every time I had been questioned by airport authorities when traveling to my company's head office in Chicago, I wonder if I will be singled out and made to disappear. My last trip was 11 months ago when I spent 13 hours in an interrogation room.
When Maher Arar was sent to that hell hole to be tortured, we were all in there with him.
The US needs to come clean on this to make sure this never happens again.
