Absolutely hilarious, I cannot wait to make one.

Here is a link to a reuters story about the new site which, among other things, states:

"The earlier version of the program, which started in 1996 with host Craig Kilborn, could be available by early 2008"

Now, as for forgetting Craig Kilborn's stint on the show, I only wish I could.

Re: where is the MSM on this

I have been checking the MSM sites since Dodd announced his hold, and nothing.

I would be willing to bet that the M$M didn't anticipate anyone trying to put a hold on this bill, and did not prepare the requisite lies/spin/fabrication.

I agree with a poster in the thread of Glenn's earlier post today who warned that Chris Dodd should be prepared for the character assassinations that will come at him like an avalanche.

I am so pleased to hear that at least ONE of our Representatives still believes in the Constitution, and for once, is willing to take a stand.

The opposite of a homophobe is a homophile.

The term heterophile is mistakenly used instead of homophobe quite often due to it being considered a 'less negative' term, though incorrect and misleading. homophobes fear homos, heterophiles love heteros. Not the same thing.

in defense of bebop-o

if you don't like (or more likely, wish to comprehend) the writings of bebop-o, simply skip them.

I sometimes don't have the energy to try to understand his/her words, however, that fact does not render their commentary as not being of value.

Why do the managers get off the hook?

I am looking at you, Tony LaRussa.

Who were his players?

McGwire

Canseco (both of them)

Jason and Jeremy Giambi

I am not posting more names than that for the sake of brevity.

How could he possibly NOT have known?

//Anyone?

Fine.

Bonds can go, but not without...McGwire losing all of his records and doing community service as well.

Bonds has been indicted on Perjury charges.

McGwire was 'less than forthcoming' when appearing under subpoena.

According to you, Bonds should be incarcerated and vilified and stripped of his records because he's the only one who lied.

//good, um, logic there.

How did this man get elected to anything?

I realize that I am asking a silly question, however, simply from his statements about the constitution and obvious lack of understanding one of the bedrocks of our government (separation of church/state), he was never qualified to hold any public office, period.

When can we add a civics test to any who apply to run for public office? If you miss a certain number on a test for a driver's license, you don't get one. Why does this same theory not apply here?

Also, how is it possible that he can make these inane statements, and not one person calls him on it?

I can only read and comment so much about this sort of thing without vomiting.

Simple Solution

The easiest way to avoid electronic voting machines is to vote via an absentee ballot. Make a copy for your records before submitting.

Take their ball and go home

Perhaps they will hold their breath until they get their way?

One can only hope.

This is what they refer to as 'leadership'?

I must go throw up now.

clarification please, Glenn

is the reference to when you will be on Democracy Now eastern time?

Thank you.

This post begs

for a clever fark.com headline, complete with the Irony tag.

I am just not clever enough to come up with one.

prunes, my theory

I have yet to see any historical example where GWB ever faced any consequences for his actions.

His military service record?

DUI arrests?

Drug use?

Explosives and frogs?

Thus, my theory is that GWB and his frat-boy ilk have a combination of sociopathological tendencies, combined with a large sense of entitlement, also combined with a total lack of consequences for any aberrant behavior.

I believe the reason why GWB sleeps so soundly at night is because he believes what he does is right because in his world, he has never been held accountable for anything which would make him WRONG.

If one never faces any consequences for any action, one could conclude that nothing they do could be wrong.

I do not propose that my theory is unique, simply my theory.

For the 'who cares' chorus

I feel that prostitution should be legalized, and I have no issue with consenting adults agreeing to engage in behavior for an agreed price.

That being said, I feel the issue is that the position Spitzer took was one where he swore to uphold the law and Constitution.

He violated that oath when he violated the law.

Think of a dirty cop, it's a similar analogy.

stereotypes or marketing by a monopoly?

The average computer user is TERRIFIED of anything that doesn't have a Windows Operating System, thanks to Gates & Company and the US Government allowing that monopoly.

Add this factor to the basic WalMart shopper, who is not necessarily technically inclined, and they would never purchase any device they didn't know how to use.

@ABAB

The staff is generally indifferent, ignorant, hung over and stupid. And there's a huge language barrier between the illegals who make up the customer base and the feebs who work there.

Good point, if only white-citizen-taxpayers worked and shopped at WalMart, those Linux PCs would be flying off the shelves.

I would like to think that you could make your point (or whatever) without including your racist bullshit.

Explain why you shop there?

Do you provide English lessons, asshole?
