I used to love Salon
[Read the article: Salon gets (more) interactive]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]But now I really can't stand it.
After you left, everything changed.
And it is bad. I am a premium subscriber and have been for years. I will let my subscription end and say goodbye.
But before I go I also want to say I miss the "sex" section too.
And,
as a woman who uses a breast pump and is a strong, liberal feminist- I love the articles about women's lives and experiencs.. Amy Sohn used to be kick ass sex writer for a free paper here years ago. More of her and her new struggles. So for those of you who have yet to procreate and those of you who never will: some of us have and find journalism about it funny and validating.
But I agree- after the election, Salon was lost. I hate the way everything looks and the stupid blue... AGH!
Nevermind.
It's over.
I can't ever imagine how salon will be relevant again. Unless Jeb runs.

Grow up Larry and Piper
[Read the article: The "Daddy dilemma," one year later]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Frankly, I find grown adults, over the age of 40, who have never had children, BORING. With the exception of Oprah and Mother Theresa, childless adults are selfish and seem to have a fear of the unknown, fear of dissappointment, fear of life itself.
There is a wisdom attached to some of life's milestones and experiencing raising a child, whether biological or not, is one of them!
Childless people love to make us parents into a "cliche". You know the ones: soccor mom, the "mom" jeans, the mini van, the precious names like Connor and Morgan etc.
Well, childless people are cliches too: boring people who never want to grow up and spend all their disposable income on fancy mountain climbing trips and fast cars.
I used to watch young people's eyes glaze over when I would tell them I was a stay at home mom, well screw that! Now my eyes glaze over as some self absorbed, childless loser goes on about their bender the other night. Buh-bye.

Tony will die
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: "Is this all there is?"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Didn't anyone see him grab his stomach in pain?
He is getting a bleeding ulcer or some kind of bad diagnosis forshadowing to another health crisis.
Tony will die and Christophah, Paulie, Bobby and AJ will fight to the death for the head position while Carmella moves to Italy to be with her true love- Fabrizio(wasn't that his name?).

James Gandolfini
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: Uncomfortably numb]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How brilliant is he?
The fact that there are hundreds of post about his subtle nuances and tiniest of gestures shows his absolute brilliance.
He makes Tony real, memorable, palpable even likable.
Fantastic discussion.

My prediction
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: Uncomfortably numb]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Tony will follow his selfish, insatiable need to have everything Chistophah had and will seduce Kelli.
Carmella finds out somehow and kills Tony.
I bet adrianna's body gets found too.
I just think Carm is more in this than we expect.

Gambling
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: Uncomfortably numb]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When he first arrives in Vegas he does gamble and LOSES. WTF?

Junior/Tony/AJ
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: The blood-dimmed tide]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When AJ was watching that drug commercial, it reminded me of Junior, wasting away in his private hell, watching wheel of fortune. Tony has these bookends at both sides of him, drugged and complacent about their lives. As Tony shuffled inside the psyched ward to meet up w/ AJ, he looked like he was coming home- to his own psych ward. It's where he belongs too. He is sick and he knows it. I think Tony just wants to walk away from his life.
Live in the desert and watch the sunset.
He doesn't want this lifestyle anymore. Did you see the dread on his face when he walked into the Bing after AJ's rescue?
He knew these guys didn't get any of this stuff.
He felt sickened, I thought, to have to explain mental illness to them.
What do they know? Not much, we found out. Tony gets even more lonely and depressed.
He now gets that his son is far worse than he ever imagined, something strippers and beer can't fix, and he feels guilty for his lifestyle; the tooth in his cuff, while he tries to listen to AJ and his deep, deep pain.
It is partly his fault.
His personal asbestos has sickened his boy and endangers everyone on his crew.
Tony is toxic. And like the garbage that Phil won't take, Tony has nowhere to go.
He has no more options.
So, Phil retaliates next week. It looks as though someone is being chased outside(I think it's AJ because there is a shot of him on the ground crying, pleading.)
I think to save AJ and his whole family, Tony dissappears.
Or could Tony commit suicide by allowing a hit on him?
All of the comments here have gotten my juices flowing! Can't wait to read more and hypothesize more.

one more thing...
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: The blood-dimmed tide]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]"We're Italian. You're their son. You will always be more important."
Another clue to why AJ is a target? Phil's crew will screw around w/ Tony via Meadow, but to really get back at him, they have to get AJ. They wanted Chrissy(after Tony B. was murdered by Tony) because they knew he was like a son to T.
AJ has a bullseye on him.

Howard Stern
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: The blood-dimmed tide]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Little Stevie was just on Howard and all he said was there was going to be A LOT of violence in the last two episodes. He also knows how it ends.
Silvio definitly will be cleaning up this mess, for sure.
Edie Falco was on the view and she said three versions of the end were chosen and she has no idea which one will be chosen!
Man, the suspence.

back to Adrianna
[Read the article: "Sopranos" wrap-up: The blood-dimmed tide]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]How about, Adrianna's not dead, she survived and is in witness protection and is bringing down Tony.
And Sil is in on it too. He's been wearing a wire this whole time.
