I don't know if Obama really has a boat

After hearing Obama tell me what wonderful things he was going to do for me Monday, and then saying he would have the facts Tuesday, then Tuesday saying some of the wonderful things may not happen or are negotiable and he'll have more information Wednesday it makes me not want to run to the rail after him he may be getting in a boat on the other side of the ship when I get there.

I think I may sit this one out and let the young folks go over the cliff with him.

Enough people aren't shopping at Wal-Mart?

Gee, the lucky people who depend on minimum wage might get a raise to $7.25 an hour with gas here on the West coast costing $5.00 a gallon! Hopefully Wal-Mart will be down-hill from where they live so they can coast their car into the parking lot. Oh, that's right they are going to be so much better off they will even have savings accounts with the new economic package even after they pay for their new health care plan - that doesn't cover everyone.

I really like BO's plan of reversing Bush's tax plan, after all I never approved of it in the first place. But when he does it will raise the tax on dividend's which most seniors rely on to subsidize their SS. If you have dividend income it raises your tax bracket now so you pay taxes even on your SS.

Cut out SS and let us have private retirement in our own IRA's and 401K's? Then when we retire our income will be dividend income and we will be taking more of that than we need to pay our taxes. If "everyone" paid all year into SS and Medicare it couldn't possibly go broke and politican's wouldn't be threatening the population constantly like they do now.

He doesn't get money from me

I wouldn't give BO .23cents to get a bus ride back to Chicago let alone $2,300 that I need for gas and food. I have earned the right to be angry as long as I want to be and you don't have the right to tell me to get over it. I may get over it tomorrow and I may never get over what I have witnessed this election year. So you get over it; the women who fought for equal rights also created the freedom that gave him the right to run in this election.

Nobody seems to know their history about what women did for all minorities and why the women of today have the jobs and pay checks that they do. So don't be telling us "women of a certain age" what we should feel - we gave birth to you and don't you forget it.

BO's qualifications

A reader writes regarding BO: "At the moment he is a junior senator and will have no real power until (I hope) is elected president." ????????????????? What in the world are you thinking? That is what Hillary talked about - this guy is going to be a presidential "intern" (remember? On the job training?)and you think he is great? If he has no power now a lightning bolt out of the sky during his inaugration isn't going to give it to him. What planet are you people coming from?

Original article: Obama fatigue?

Obama fatigue up to here!

I had "Obama fatigue" long before someone made up the slogan.

"John McCain is going to try to make BO the issue of this election." Isn't that the purpose of an election? Aren't you supposed to point out the negative, such as "No Experience at Anything?"

We are supposed to believe you when you write "his deft handling of Iraq, Afghanistan and the Middle East?" What deft handling? He talked to the heads of countries for an hour and now he is an expert on the entire Middle East? What are you drinking before you write your column? He spent one day in Isreal and one hour with the Palestinians - that's settling the problem to you? He sat down to eat with troops (I am sure they were hand picked weeks in advance) - He wore a white shirt, suit and tie and looked like a cardboard figure that was afraid he was going to get dirty. He wouldn't go see the wounded soldiers in Germany because they wouldn't allow some of his staff - could it be that some of those soldiers are in no condition to want to be seen in his television ads for eternity? Why couldn't he go alone? Oh, it was more important to lose those 6oz.'s he had gained while eating with the heads of states. He had plenty of time to talk to 200,000 people who can't even vote for him; and he looked peeved that the Chancellor of Germany wouldn't give him the Brandenberg Gate. Getting that he could have just crowned himself on the spot and we wouldn't need the pomp and circumstance when he got home.

In my opinion, which I know you don't want to hear - this entire process should be stopped in it's tracks and started over because the nuts from the asylum have run off with this election and we need somebody who knows something this time more than any time in history and we don't have it with either candidate.
