He's giving Congress the runaround, successfully.
[Read the article: Poor, poor Gonzales]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]He's basically saying, "I'm not going to get to the bottom of this by speaking to any of the involved people (in order to preserve the integrity of the ongoing investigation, according to him).
So, he leaves the investigation up to Congress, but will answer none of their questions about individuals actually involved in coming up with the target list (those same people that he's not talking to).
...
I watched part of this hearing yesterday, and pretty much decided I could never be in Congress... even the Democrats were so damned polite...
...
It's funny how a guy who is going so far out of his way to prove his incompetence in order to avoid answering questions is still successfully arguing that he's competent enough to continue running the Department.

I like it!
[Read the article: The future of the world is nuts]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Though I'm looking forward to algae-based biodiesel in the very near future, expansion of nut crops seems like a great idea.
We have many volunteer hazelnut trees on my property. They spread like mad, though the bluejays are nasty predators. A friend of mine says that when he's retired he'll charge people to pick up filberts on his property, and after reading this article, I'm wondering if maybe he's got a good idea.
No doubt I'll be adding more nut trees to my yard. :)

CE- It's happening.
[Read the article: No more plastic bags, no more jobs]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Check out the Solar Companies, LDK, STP, YGE, SOLF, to name a few. China is going to be the Solar Capital of the World, at least as far as manufacturing is concerned. I suspect, though, that they'll also be major users within the next 5 years.

What a piece of garbage...
[Read the article: Obama is wrong about the gas tax]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]The opening to the article suggests that the author is going to prove Obama wrong on the effect of the Holiday on Illinois. Then it goes on to attack him in all sorts of unrelated points.
The linked pdf file is the only evidence that the author actually has some information that EVERY ECONOMIST QUESTIONED has somehow missed.
Take a look at that PDF. Go to page 43 and look at figure 1.
Do you see any reason to believe that the 5% Gas Tax Holiday had any significant effect on the price of gas in comparison to other states?
I sure don't.

I'm getting real tired of politics...
[Read the article: A pivotal day for the Democrats?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hearing about the delegate counts, and the electibility possibilities, over and over and over, is getting old.
How about if you talk about what the Candidates are actually talking about?
Of course the thing comes close to 50/50 when all that's discussed is the politics of the race. The politics aren't what are impacting the price of Oil, Gas, and Food. If the entire race is framed as a race between two candidates for votes, as opposed to a race between two candidates who stand for different policies and ideas, then the results of the race will reflect the politics, and not the policies. Look where that's gotten us since 2000.

Appeasement.
[Read the article: Quote of the day]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]When Obama offers to Cede the State of Florida to Iran, then I'll be worried... then again, it is Florida...
