While its almost a truism that committees by and large lead only to other committees, this time will prove exception to the rule.
Times are too difficult to not first discuss, and then implement, different approaches to that sad spectacle that is the war in Iraq. Tears almost come to my eyes to think that even though good women and men in Iraq will die while Bush continues to play politics. But that's a song people tired of hearing.
Can't afford to hear it any longer actually.
Reports such as the one issued on Iraq will actually become SOP. No one is in a position to lead now because some of our problems have been unaddressed for so long only group action can overcome them. And only fools will step out front and attempt to carry the day. In return no less for attempts to convince us they should be seen as our only leaders. Biden, McCain, Clinton, Obama and Bush will finally show by extreme example that politics of the past is nothing but failure.
That'll be the only positive to come out of the Democracy we have. Once and for all we'll see that a free society requires group effort FIRST!
The immature imbecile of a President we currently have is in fact a Poster Child for why that's so. I actually have a part of me that hopes he continues on this reckless path based on his absurdly proud and clueless outlook. Nothing would please me more actually to see him Impeached and shamed to the point of abuse!
Unfortunately, though, Bush now will be looking to give into any recommendation that will take him off the hook. In fact it takes only a slight willingness to contemplate the perverse to see him claiming doing so as his finest hour.
Sincerely,
Lloyd Little
Why the fuck do you, or anyone else for that matter, continue to parrot this absurd notion of Obama as President?
The reason I ask is that we are after all already in the grips of an inexperienced Chief Executive who's only road to victory happened to be a Press Corp that didn't do its job!!!
Please find something better to do than to try to be out front with who will be elected President TWO YEARS FROM NOW!!!
By the way, if media attention equals Presidency, when is Kevin Federline going to get the fucking job?
It is of some importance to point out the failures of what led to our current mess in Iraq and I appreciate your doing that. The "all roads lead to Baghdad approach" in other words is not a notion out of the blue. It is the culmination of a blustering attitude that has been as abusive of America's basic freedom as nothing else.
Amazingly, and I'm waiting for this like Xmas, Neocons will make one last attempt (and then another, and then another..) to reclaim our attention by blaming our current diplomatic failure only they're responsible for on what really works.
But thanks to your effort I've got more ammunition to drown them out than I did yesterday.
As always, great job!

Good think you stopped the article when you did Mr. K because I was about to cry. Things have gotten so beyond the imaginable that only psychology would seem to be of use. But how do you say that a President has been abused?
Obviously something went wrong in the Bush household and its spilled out into our public life with tragic consequences. Maybe, maybe, we'll come to our senses and correct things but that's a story in and of itself. But one thing for sure is that Bush 43 is incensed over something only his far gone past could have addressed.
God help us man.

This type of effort is the beauty of the internet in action. I really feel after reading Blumenthal that I have insight and analysis into politics and foreign affairs. This article in fact brought the Congress of the US right into my home.
The people's business used to be something only weekly news shows provided. But now, I have a columnist who gives me this vital information much more timely and with much more depth.
I now know that elected representatives are not an incompetent, arrogant and down right abusive sort. Unlike the current President, who is without a doubt a man without any talents at all!, they actually have an ethic and a sensitivity to concerns that matter.
Great job Mr. B. Excellent work.

Since the case for war was a crime, where is the prosecution?
I'll even admit to being slow to ask. After all, 9/11 gave especial lattitude to the President. I was more than willing to give him not just the benefit of the doubt. But also my understanding of the situation's difficulty.
I always accepted the invasion of Iraq as almost a reaction to the way we were attacked. We got hit, we hit back, and Iraq was the target. An illogical target, yes? But a target I could adjust to. Or had to adjust to given the craziness following the catastrophe of 9/11.
But now, but now I see this elaborate campaign of disinformation to spread a war. Followed only by supreme mismanagement.
I have to conclude that the war in Iraq was therefore begun only to benefit those who run this Administration.
And that is a crime of the first order.
I wish I had more time to spell out how that upsets me. But since I don't I'll simply summarize those feelings with a simple statement;
George Bush should have his incredibly incompetent ass impeached as soon as possible!
