Original article: Thank you, Hank Aaron

I'm not gonna cry Joan, honest I'm not.

Look, this Bond's hatefest over the last six or so years was of no consequence to anyone who wasn't in denial. Bonds' acheivements rival Jordan's, even though he's operated under the influence. Slugging percentages of .800+ are super human on not just athletic levels but also with respect to committment. That Bonds came to the sportsworld with a performance that showed skills unimaginable shouldn't be ignored just because there was a way to see it as imperfect. The precicions skills needed to hit a baseball in the big leauges is the equivalent of either slowing down time to your level, or speeding up to a pace that is breakneck and steriods can only do so much.

I remember Mays at the tail end of his career, Aaron too. Both posessed special quickness, power and form that were without question instictively brilliant even then. Bonds exceeded those efforts and if some of that was due to something other than natural talent questions should be raised. But the questions being raised are shallow at best and focus mainly on attacking someone on a personal level.

Any questions should have a context of merit toward a goal but they don't and its race that's the reason why. A lot of America is still in their Hank Aaron mode because they think they can be. But they just missed a baseball player with a swing they won't see again for a long, long time if ever again.

Come on, that's not an anti-union position.

Forcing people to join is un-American. In fact, Biden doesn't have a leg to stand on...Edwards has helped six states to pass minimum wage increases. Also, Senator Kennedy is about to take up his proposal to raise the national minimum to 9.50/hr by 2012.

People should not be misled about the press attempting to define the Edward's Campaign because populism has nothing to do with it. Edwards campaign in against the system being rigged to the hilt. 37million in poverty and 45 million without health care isn't class war/populism, it's central to the nation's worsening condition.

In actuality the press wants to define Edwards because they're often part of the problem.

Original article: Number of the day

wait a friggin minute!

During a WAR! no such vacation record exists until now!!!

I know people who say they aren't going to march on Washington against this bozo and cohorts. In fact, the list of excuses for not doing so couldn't be more lame. "Oh, I'm scared my employer will find out", yea like you're career has a chance toward the elite status of the super rich. "Oh, I don't want a criminal record even if just for tresspassing", but you complaing with veracity as if you're a tough guy. "Oh, I don't want to be mauled by a 200lb + police officer", which only means you're not a coward but selfish.

Yesterday Bush claimed gas tax hikes were effectively off the table to repair infrastructure.

GET READY TO MARCH YOU LAZY MO-FOs...GET READY TO MARCH!!!

Original article: The man who sold the war

Thanks for not holding back Joan

It's obvious Rove has affected you personally and you're totally justified in responding to it. As you imply, his role in this administration has been costly to many. Let me also thank you for mentioning the very forgotten, but extremely important, White House Iraq Group.

You know, orchestrating a war isn't something that happens every day.

Since Rove has helped far, far more than most to drive this society near a cliff, many will wish him to suffer the fate worst of all and for good reason. But cooler heads need to prevail and orchestrate his ass into a prison.

Let his stupid ass do hard time first, then he and the rest of that bunch of sociopaths he "pals" around with can all go to

fucking hell!!!

Original article: Quien es mas macho?

Oh man, I thought I was the only one who thought Tim Russert was a dunderhead!

GQ has lost all perspective considering that overly boring and pitifully inept lackey of GE as powerful. I don't really think Tim Russert is alive by the way. Seriously, I think he's a robot of some kind. After all, he's only amusing when he's hawking that mess of memories about WWII through his dad's eyes. In fact, to watch him and Tom Brokaw both recalling the list of virtues that made them the men they are today, is to become firmly convinced time travel is a curse.

PS Condi Rice and Hillary being on the list also puts two of the most sexless people of all time ever in charge. Trust me, that's only a good thing if you're forward to having the planet fire bombed!!!

Nothing surpising in these vacuous attacks....nothing at all

Your headline covers all bases Joan. Yep, the WH is supporting Hillary even though they're acting in just the opposite way. Even though political strategy isn't their forte if recent events are any indication. Even though Hillary isn't going to be the nominee.

Yep, Hillary's going down to Johnny E. Trust me on this one Salon readers and let me tell you why. This ain't 2004 or even 2000....the age of the Right Wing Conspirators has had its say...and the job is cleaning up their mess not fighting further abuse.

But Hillary has no plans at all Salon readers.

And that's why Hillary welcomes these attacks!!!

Rove's an idiot. Always has been and always will be.

There is nothing worse on this planet than a clueless man. Rove really believes he's a celebrity. He really thinks he's going to do the interview circuit and dispense wisdom. There are many problems with such a mental outlook, not the least of which is the mayhem his advice has resulted in, but the one most troubling is the hypocrisy it involves.

Didn't, after all, the Republicans run against the culture of celebrity via Rove?

Also, does he really think it's coffee table talk to relive that horrible set of movements he made at that worthless event he attended?

Lock his stupid ass up and be done with it!!!
