Original article: The three stooges

Shhh. Listen.

Shhhhh.

LISSSTENNNNN!!!

People march and in so doing win the race

So that the power of truth is soon in place

High above all a quake will reach

As the people below are forced to speak

Govt's do tremble when justice yearns

Forces are stirring, a fever burns

The wrong are made to come out of their hiding

While the righteous are caught up in their abiding

Gov't do tremble when justice yearns

And the wrong make it known that they will never learn.

Their is such a confluence of interests underway. Finally, circumstances point to an end to a sorry chapter, in not just US history, but that of the world as well. Bush, and his cronies, and their failures, and their abuse of dignity's always open mind and heart are racing toward an end.

When Gonzales is that much closer to indictment, at the same time Bush makes his appeal to extend this farce in Iraq that attempted to use civilization as an amusement park for sociopaths, the discredit he will have heaped upon himself and those associated with him will equate to another form of sunlight.

Indeed, blinded by that truth people will move in the only direction they can. They will move toward justice. Blindly, but therefore forcefully, they will turn away and shake this earth with their change!

Listen...can you hear it?

Shhh! Listen!

Its coming.

Original article: More on the FISA debacle

Shocking to the point of unbelievable.

Joan, you're a baseball fan right? So the expression "right in the wheelhouse" means something to you. And Bush's fear-mongering was right in Pelosi's wheelhouse. Maybe Sheehan has insight into what's needed after all, but my personal take is that after the recess the Dems are going to come out swinging hard, ferociously even

Keep in mind, there's got to be karma operating in some fashion on the upcoming report of Petraeus and what that forecasts for the war. This unexpected capitulation of the Dems is just a dark before the storm moment. Finally, they'll have their back against the walls, and better yet, for reasons that are much of their own making.

No way to say how things will end up though. No way at all.

But I'm planning on marching in Washington in the fall.

Salon should run a story on how best to do that!

More hard bitten truth from the "Prince"!

Novak's gotta be crazy, gotta be. To be a "cons." but then turn around and attempt to elicit sympathy on the basis of bad deeds takes him way away from reality, way away. But that's actually a good thing, best to keep his kind away from good company.

His winding down of a career of shrill and vitriolic attacks on anyone or anything that attempted to enhance the common good is definitely long overdue. It's poetic indeed that his final days are receiving bitterness.

PS By the way, a more appropriate moniker would be "Bob Novak, Uncaged Crazy Man." In fact, not suprised at all that Mr. Nutjob Number One, doesn't understand that being a Prince in America would be against the law!

Elizabeth is smarter than Hillary.

If you look at her thought process you find she has much more flexibility and humor, both signs of intelligence if there are such things. But notice this too, she's tougher than Hillary also. Hillary's thinned skinned and about to blow which is of course the last thing we need. Plus, if she had a life threatning illness you'd never hear the end of it. I hope we hear more from Elizabeth. As far as I'm concerned she's the only feminist in the race.

Man, what a riff.

But check it out, being surprised by Kelly Clarkson's artistic abilities always troubles me. Not screaming out loud how different she is from American Idol's premise and practices is to be tone deaf, but then again what do I know? To me though Kelly Clarkson's got real pipes that emote non-stop. And if she can produce while she's living in a fish bowl, and while she's been raised under a corporate reach that envelopes to the point of suffocation, she's already a classic as far as I'm concerned.

Keep in mind, that even though art can't be assessed without historical context the times we live in always have to be the basis of judgement. The present won't allow art because the public doesn't have time for art. At great cost to our psychic health we're under the impression that our future is not going to be different from the present. Supposedly, everything's a touch away, or mouse click away, and the only difficulties are the practical one's of bringing our every want into being.

Art requires longings unfulfilled, real or perceived. Yet, we live in an "I want what I want" paradise in our own minds.

If the likes of Kelly Clarkson can only come to us via tabloid TV going prime time, if the masterpieces of European depth and complexity haven't given us proteges by the boat load, and if box office records get broken on the basis of the amount of violence and/or sex in a film art becomes more a casualty then devolved.

Great article though.
