Original article: How to run good

We should pander to these cretins?

Democrats, liberals, whatever, shouldn't have to stoop to the level of these anti-intellectual, homophobic, angry jerks. Let them keep voting republican. They'll enjoy dropping incomes and less financial security as republicans cater to the top 10% and the NASCAR trash gets squat. They've already sent the wife to work- when they have to sell the children into porn to afford the crap they stock up on at WalMart maybe they'll get a clue. Until then, screw 'em. Change only occurs in this country through PAIN.

Original article: Demonizing fellow Democrats

Brilliant stuff

Great analysis of why we want Lieberman OUT.

Republicans are scum

They're all about majority rules but then create laws demanding a super majority to run a society.

Seriously, why must you always find a way to blame liberals? For being ideologically driven to want to pay for the services we receive?

Conservatives are the problem in California as they are everywhere. They set the whole country on fire and now they sit back and gleefully trip those running to put it out. Their goal has always been the destruction of government. They have no place in civilized society.

The sooner we vocalize openly and get beyond the fear of confronting those destructive miscreants or fearing sounding too harsh the sooner we can defeat them.

Republicans have destroyed California

The democratic process as it is practiced in most parts of this country doesn't allow 34% of the policymakers to have as much power as 64% like they do in California.

Yes, you pay taxes in California but they're artifically low.

But be my guest. Rejoice in the success of republicans to force the destruction of your state government. See if the power brokers and corporations will provide the services you need without charging you more than the taxes would have been. Then you'll still complain.

Conservatism is a disease of the soul and mind.

Prop 13

Yes, but when the house doubles and triples in value the taxes stay the same. Not a bad deal. Not fair, but a good deal nevertheless.

Not a bad deal. Tell your kids to enjoy their dark, diminished future that your voted for. But just think. You didn't have to pay taxes!

Let them go back to the republicans

Perhaps when the stupid Americans are living in tents they'll abandon their hopes of a republican-created Utopia.

I almost wish McCain would have won so we could have declined to collapse and we could get on with REALLY changing this country in a profound, drastic and radical way.

Go on, America. Give the wheel back to the republicans. Let's see how that works out for you. Already you've lost 30-50% of your retirement savings and you get to watch your house values deflate for years to come. Why not try for being totally wiped out as the republicans give Wall Street access to the rest of your nest eggs?

Were the puns intentional?

"...there seems to have been an upsurge..."

"...difficult to get hard numbers on penile enlargement..."

"...thus the potential market for penile enlargement is bigger than ever."

Made me laugh!

Liberal wishy-washy-ness

Why do liberals always insist on pulling the "both sides do it" routine? Do we think it makes us seem "fair"? Is it the discomfort with ridiculing the conservative nutjobs that makes us want to point the finger at ourselves?

There's no reason to try and find an equivalent situation where liberals were as off their rockers as the birthers. The fringe elements that think bush blew up the towers are fringe. The birthers are mainstream just as the Town Hall meeting rioters are.

Liberals discourage fringe. Conservatives nurture it.

Original article: Obama's healthcare horror

Screw you Camille

Republicans didn't even allow uninvited guests to town halls when they tried privatizing Social Security.

Like you could do any better with this white trash shithole called a country. It deserves to go broke and Medicare should be abolished so those selfish old assholes can spend every last penny on health insurance premiums.

Fuck this country and the white trash that inhabits it.

Thursday, August 13, 2009 04:38 PM

Have they no shame?

Easy answer.

No.

We're dealing with people motivated solely by selfishness and greed.

Friday, August 14, 2009 01:10 PM

Nobody cares

This country is too filled with white trash thinking to accomplish anything anymore.

Enjoy the decline.

Tageis a prime example

You don't want reform. You want something for nothing like all conservatives. Reagan promised you a zero-tax culture with all the trimmings and you still believe you'll get it. Conservatives think everything should be free, a by-product of free market capitalism. Perhaps the "free" in free market has them confused.

You probably only want reform because a) you're personally needing it, b) you have a relative, friend, child, etc with an expensive condition who is being eaten alive with co-pays if they even have coverage.

It's my experience that conservatives don't care about societal problems or issues unless they're directly affected.

Friday, August 14, 2009 02:18 PM

Tort reform in Texas

hasn't brought down costs one cent. It's a red herring.

Friday, August 14, 2009 02:56 PM

My point was made

You only want reform because your premiums are too expensive. if you had a plan at work you wouldn't care about seeing reform.

Enjoy your high premiums. All republicans should have them. Old people against reform should lose their Medicare.

We should give the people what they deserve.

Friday, August 14, 2009 02:59 PM

You answered your own questions

You already participate in your precious "market-based" health care system. That's why you are whining about your premiums.

Friday, August 14, 2009 03:09 PM

When we'll see reform

When 51% don't have access to care or are driven to bankruptcy to pay for it.

Nothing happens in this country without pain as the motivator. We long ago gave up trying to become better out of altruism.

Friday, August 14, 2009 03:53 PM

You call it defeatist, I call it reality

Tell me one program or policy passed in the conservative era that had the effect of improving life for lots of people that wasn't done with an ulterior motive, i.e., Medicare prescription drug plan to pump sales.
