Aaron Brown was the supreme interviewer -- on CNN or anywhere. He knew what questions to ask and how to ask them. Every good interview, just getting started, ran out of time.
I had my own problems with his looking at the monitor for three seconds too long when coming out of a taped piece, mugging for the camera with hand-on-chin, and thinking we don't know. I also had a problem with the, let's face it, environmentally-unfriendly laminating of a dozen or so newspaper front pages for the time-filler, end-of-show piece.
And what's with his embarrasing on-air lecturing of at least one reporter during a live-shot, in the name of "only the facts" journalism?
But Aaron Brown, if his rumored ego and arrogance are either untrue or now history, has a solid PBS presence written all over him -- possibly as an occasional Lehrer contributor just for starters.
Otherwise, yes, cable news will be cable news. But at least Keith Olbermann and his staff rescue it for us nightly!
I defy Messrs Bush and Cheney to question either the patriotism or the motives of Jack Murtha. He speaks with clarity.
Our occupation makes things worse and it does not lead to any Bush "total victory," whatever the hell that is supposed to mean.
This country is more heartbroken than it is angry.

Disarray? Disarray? Try Iraq. Tell the "delighted" Republicans that THERE is where they can find find disarray. And it seems the only thing Congress knows, in its presumed responsibility of "oversight," is what it learns from the media each day. Then, yawn, it holds hearings.
This is beyond any suggestion of a Washington game of spin. This is tragic.
One thinks he knows where the truth is even though he still does not know where the roadside bombs are.
The other thinks his reelection relieves him of ever again having to face questions. That is so 2004.
Anyone has the right to be an "ungodly secularist" -- which is a hard choice to make, knowing that he or she is passing up property tax breaks and faith-based ATM money.
Why aren't the true, loving Christians loudly speaking out against these self-annointed spokesmen?
Oh, and by the way: What has Pat Robertson to say about the Dick Cheney shortness of breath on the same weekend the U.S. lost 17 troops (and how many on the one or two days before?). Coincidence, Pat? You decide -- that is, if you can pull your eyes away from the "Ungodly Secularist = Liberal = Pro-abortionist = Terrorist Sympathizer" poster on your wall.
At what point do we reach the threshhold of impeachment?
Don't bother us. We're all trying to catch up on the latest from the Fox News Aruba Bureau.
