[Read the article: The Obama photo flap]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I posted my response to the Newsday article earlier this morning, under the War Room article that covered it. See that link next to my username where it says "Read BryanS's other letters"? You can actually click on that and read my other letters. Of course, an anonymous Clinton campaign hack who's just spamming boards with comments might not be familiar enough with Salon to understand how that feature works. Or maybe you've got so much posting to do, you can't afford to take the time?
Regardless, since I know you've got a long day ahead of you, let me make your life that much easier and just cut-and-paste my comment here:
I'm a big Obama supporter, and nothing would make me happier to see Hillary drop out of the race immediately. That being said, this is not the way I'd want it to happen.
While it hasn't been perfect, the Democratic primary has done a remarkable job of staying fairly high-minded and issue-oriented (at least by the standards of modern politics). Criticizing Hillary for remaining objective and vigorously defending the most sacred tenet of our legal system -- innocent until proven guilty -- is incredibly unfair and should have no place in the dialogue. I'm happy that this doesn't appear to have been leaked by the Obama campaign, and I'd be very disappointed if that were proven to be the case.
Then again, I just saw that the Clinton campaign is emailing pictures of Obama wearing traditional Somali garb, in a shockingly transparent attempt to propagate the ugly "Obama is an America-hating Muslim" rumor. So if Hillary's trying to drum up a xenophobic reaction against Obama for showing respect to foreign cultures while touring them as a representative of the United States, it's hard not to see this as a bit of karma.

Na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good riddance
[Read the article: No Hail Mary for Hillary]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Wow, how telling is it that even Salon couldn't find a way to spin Hillary's weak-sauce debate performance as positive? From her petulant complaining about the press handling Obama with kid gloves, to her hair-splitting over "reject" vs. "denounce," to her vague rambling about the incoming Russian president that made her sound like a high schooled who hadn't read the assignment, Hillary turned in the most spectacularly uninspired performance of her lackluster campaign. She should have dropped out yesterday and spared herself the double humiliation of a failed debate and four more primary losses next week.

Throw in the f***ing towel
[Read the article: Should Hillary Clinton drop out?]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]In boxing, it is the duty of a fighter's corner to call for an end to the fight when it's obvious that their fighter is losing, and they don't want to run the risk of a career-ending injury by letting it continue. Unfortunately, everyone in Hillary's corner seems to be encouraging her to stay in there, despite a plethora of obvious signs that she's exhausted and incapable of intelligently defending herself, much less inflicting even superficial damage on her opponent. It's sadistic and perverse to encourage this woman to subject herself to further abuse at the risk of the political future she still has ahead of her.

Thank you, Joan

[Read more letters about this article: Here]I know this won't eliminate drive-by trolls, but at least it's a step in the right direction.

Two prescriptions, please

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Is there a doctor in the house? Could we get some lithium for this schizophrenic campaign, and some Dramamine for the rest of us who are trying to follow the convoluted twists and turns of their logic?

Prediction
[Read the article: "It was wrong of me. There are no excuses"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Let's see how many Clinton supporters try to link Obama to this. 'Cause, y'know, it worked so well for their candidate right before she got her head handed to her on February 12th.
Actually, since that plan backfired so spectacularly, let me be the first! "OMG he stold that dude's words just like obama LOLZ!!!1!"

Damn, that was fast

I think Juliebird was waiting all morning for this article to go up so she could use that line. :)

[Read more letters about this article: Here]And it's a good thing, too, or we'd all be awash in Axe body spray.
BTW, anyone notice how significantly the Clinton trolls have been thinned out ever since the anonymous commenting was removed? It almost makes one think that they might have been directing campaign staff to spam messageboards, but not make it obvious that they'd just signed up for their accounts earlier that morning!

@ Asher

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Well, first of all, there's the fact that he was right on Iraq from the start. That's a big plus for him.
Also, if he can respond within eight hours to an attack ad with one of his own that's clever enough to deflate the original, he just might be exactly what most of us Democrats have been waiting for: a leader who's got the guts to stand his ground and fight for what he believes in, rather than roll over and hope the right wing stops saying mean things about him.

[Read more letters about this article: Here]Hi HRCin08! Congratulations on taking 30 seconds to set up a Salon account. I see that this is your first comment. The rest of us who have been here for a while really appreciate you stopping by to spam our messageboards with propaganda for your fast-fading candidate. It really shows the Clinton campaign's commitment to grassroots organizing. I hope you'll swing back by again on Wednesday with a bunch of excuses for why your candidate failed to make up any ground against Obama the night before.
