[Read the article: Dems hold dueling conference calls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]To the Obama supporters who have been so hateful and accusatory of Clinton (who won nearly 50 percent of the votes and delegates) and her supporters, I can only laugh at the naivete you have displayed. You grew angrier because Clinton continued to campaign and you accused her and her supporters of being GOP supporters in some sort of healthcare-for-all-end-the-Iraq-war disguise.
And now that Obama appears to have locked it up, you continue to spit in the face of 50 percent of Democrats as you spit in the face of all Republicans and Independents that don't agree with you. Not a very good way to support your candidate as he struggles to build a winning coalition that will require the other 50 percent of the Democratic party, a majority of independents and even a handful of Republicans to win the election.
If Hillary's supporters want us to stop saying mean things about her, perhaps they should encourage her to abandon her failed quest for the presidency. (Then again, considering the dismal state of her fundraising, it looks like they might already be doing that.)
This has been an intense primary, and Hillary's supporters have given at least as good -- or as bad -- as they've gotten. And as long as the race continues, so will the vitriol. We're going to need a good couple of months to heal the divisions in the party, and there's only one person who can start that process. Unfortunately, she's too greedy/stupid/arrogant/isolated from reality to realize that it's long past time for her to go.

How reassuring

[Read more letters about this article: Here]'COMRADES' - join 'comrade' BARAK and his brood as we defy the 'capitalist swine' and take over the WHITE HOUSE!!! BE GOOD LITTLE MARXISTS read PROGRESSIVES!!! WE CAN DUPE ALL THOSE G-D FEARING, GUN TOTING RACISTS AND IMPOSE OUR 'ELITIST WILL' ON THIS OUR COUNTRY!!! SING PROUDLY THE INTERNATIONALE AFTER ALL COMRADE BARAK KNOW WHAT IT MEANS TO SUFFER AT PRIVATE SCHOOLS AND AT HARVARD LAW AND THEN HAVE TO GO BACK TOO CHICAGO AND THE SLEEZE OF TONY REZKO!!! 'COMRADES' our time is at hand - raise the blood-red banner and let a sorta BLACK MAN lead us!!!
Call me a crazy conspiracy theorist, but I think that this might have been written by a Hillary supporter. With the way her fundraising has dried up, I don't think her campaign can afford computers with functional caps lock keys.

[Read the article: Dems hold dueling conference calls]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Clinton doesn't need to pay herself back. She and Bill are worth more than 10 times what she had "loaned" the campaign...
Which is exactly why voters will have to decide whether to vote for Hillary or Mitt Romney in November.

@ sajwan
[Read the article: "We lost this thing in February"]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]Assuming about an even split in delegates over the remaining contests, in order to win Obama needs about 40% of the remaining super delegates to get to the magic 2,025 number.
Well, considering that Obama's damn close to having 50% of the superdelegates who have declared a preference, and considering that the majority of Hillary's superdels declared their support for her before the primary really began in earnest, and considering that Hillary's apparently having trouble finding superdels who will take a meeting with her today, I don't think we need to worry about Obama's efforts in that department, do you?
And chew on these numbers, if the race was winner take all as the electoral college is and as another organization with some common sense runs their primaries, Clinton would be beating Obama by 1,917 delegates to 1,606.
And if I had a magic ring, I'd be Green Lantern. What's your point?
I realize that the only thing that pro-Hillary/anti-Obama folks have to hold onto right now is a vision of an alternate earth where the circumstances were even more stacked in Hillary's favor than they were at the start of this primary. But that sort of fantasizing about an impossible world makes you look even more out of touch with reality than Hillary herself. And, really, that's saying something.

[Read the article: Clinton backer McGovern now wants her to drop out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]I am a Hillary Clinton supporter and I think George McGovern and all of the super delegates should stay out of this race until the people have voted.
Maybe George should get back to the steroid use problems and stay out of our race.
And maybe you should get some idea of who George McGovern is before you post yet another comment that makes you look like a moron who doesn't know what she's talking about.

@ AKA Smith
[Read the article: Clinton backer McGovern now wants her to drop out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]First of all, he should have informed Senator Clinton before making this announcement. Second, he shouldn't be calling Bill. Bill is not running for president. The fact that he informed the former president, Bill Clinton, instead of Hillary Clinton disgusting to me. He is treating Hillary Clinton as a "little lady" rather than a candidate for the presidency.
Hillary Clinton deserves to be treated as a great many things, but "candidate for the presidency" is no longer one of them.

[Read the article: Clinton backer McGovern now wants her to drop out]
[Read more letters about this article: Here]AKA Smith has a point though. At best, it was tacky and claims of sensitivity are rich coming from people who've been claiming for months that anybody who says Obama's middle name is racist.
First, as far as I can tell from her comments, AKA Smith wouldn't know a legitimate point if it slapped her on the ass and called her "sugar."
Second, as has already been mentioned, nobody posting here has any idea what sort of relationship McGovern has with the Clintons. Maybe the only reason he and Hillary are acquainted at all is because of his association with Bill. You know, sort of like Hillary and the rest of America.
Third, I don't think that obsessing over Obama's middle name is racist. I think it's a transparent attempt to push the "secret Muslim" meme and capitalize on the racism of bigoted morons, but it's not racist in and of itself.
