Yeah, how sad is it that Salon's letter writers are now breaking stories on the site? You have to wonder if that's because the staff is holding back on stories that don't support their chosen candidate, or if it's because they're focusing all of their efforts on only researching stuff that's unfavorable to Obama.

And I wouldn't say that the Clinton connection is overhyped. Even if there's no provable coordination between WVWV and the campaign, it's obvious from their campaign contributions and their board members' résumés which horse they're backing. Not to mention the fact that their efforts are clearly designed to discourage voters in socioeconomic groups friendly to Obama from going to the polls.

This group didn't just start doing this last week. They've been pulling this crap in about a dozen states during this campaign, so there's been plenty of time for Hillary to reject AND denounce their efforts on her behalf.

  • It depends on what the word "vital" means

Andrew plans to hold a press conference Thursday in his hometown of Indianapolis, Ind. -- the state has a potentially vital primary on Tuesday...

Do you mean that it's "vital" in the sense that it will have next to no effect on the pledged delegate count or the popular vote, and thus almost no practical impact on the race whatsover? If so, congratulations on managing to somehow use a word as a synonym for its own antonym.

I am going nut myself for all those people thinking they are voting for someone who is not a politician but actually is a politician in DC. Look at his campaign and manipulation, he is more a politician than a politician.

I have absolutely no delusions about Obama not being a politician. Anyone who runs for public office is, by definition, a politician. I think you're just pissed that he's proven himself to be a far, far superior one than your candidate.

I can't be the only voter Out Here experiencing severe Obama fatigue. It's gotten to where I can't stand the sound of his voice and I scroll past photos of him as fast as possible.

Who are you trying to kid, screechy? You've felt this way since January.

Well, considering that we obviously see Obama in two very different ways, I doubt that anything I say will have any substantial effect on you. But I've been impressed with Obama's refusal to take the bait over Hillary's gaffes (like the sniper story) when it's been brought up in debates and interviews, a courtesy that Hillary hasn't returned. And I'm pleased that Obama's take on foreign policy seems to involve dialogue and diplomacy, instead of threats to nuke the civilian populations of countries who attack our allies.

I also think that his 50-state grassroots organization is ultimately going to pay big dividends to down-ticket Dems. Even if we can't win races in deep red states, at least we're going to make them a lot more expensive for the Repubs. The same goes for swing states in the general; I don't think McCain's going to have the physical stamina or bank balance to campaign effectively in as many places as Obama.

    And also --

Wait a second. Am I actually trying to have a reasonable debate with someone who suggested "Pigs Before N*gs" as a counter to "Bros Before Hos"? I obviously need more coffee.

  • Love the association implied by the headline

    Iran complains about Clinton comments.

Obama supporters complain about Clinton comments.

    Obama supporters = Iran.

    Well done, Alex.

If you choose not to vote for Obama when he becomes the nominee, despite the fact that he and Hillary share 99% of the same policy positions, and despite the fact that not voting for Obama is a vote for four more years of Bush/Cheney... well, there is a door that you'll want to make sure doesn't hit you in the ass on your way out.

I might've found your post a tad more sympathetic if you had been able to resist saying, "Wait a second. Am I actually trying to have a reasonable debate with someone who suggested "Pigs Before N*gs" as a counter to "Bros Before Hos"?"

You know damn well I was countering a poster who stated that anyone who doesn't find "Bros Before Hos" amusing has some serious issues. I asked if he would find my counter slogan equally amusing. Nothing like leaving out the context, huh?

You're right. I should have mentioned that, in context, you were using the nastiest racial slur in the English language because you thought it would help you to make a point.

Under the circumstances, you'll forgive me if I say that I couldn't give less of a damn what you think of my posts.

  • Still waiting...

Glad to see that you think the gas-tax dust-up merits four War Room articles this week. Some of us are still waiting for the Clinton-affiliated North Carolina robocall story that you said would appear on Thursday:

So what's it going to be, Alex? Are you going to post the robocall story on a Friday afternoon, in the hopes that it'll be all but forgotten over the weekend, or are you spiking it altogether because you think it might hurt Hillary's chances on Tuesday?

Ah, the red herring sophist ploy from the Obama tactic playbook for attacking Clinton supporters. When you can't really negate what they say, divert and sidetrack to another issue.

Please see "Wright, Rev. Jeremiah." Also, "irony."

And personally, I've seen more lying crap from Obama supporters that makes whatever Blumenthal received, sent out, whatever, seem like child's play.

Really? You've seen senior advisers to the Obama campaign sending out daily emails full of links to right-wing articles that bash Hillary and dredge up past scandals, either real or manufactured? And the Obama campaign didn't immediately fire them? Somehow I missed that story. Please provide attribution.
