    From Joan:

I continue to contribute my observations about some of the issues facing Barack Obama in the hope that people can understand why he's stuck right now. I don't do the same as often for Hillary Clinton because that's what 98 percent of the rest of media is busy doing.

Sorry, would this be the 98 percent of the media that continues to play out-of-context clips from Rev. Wright, or the 98 percent of the media that turned a blind eye to Hillary's "nuke Iran" comments, or the 98 percent of the media that couldn't stop giggling over Obama's bowling score, or the 98 percent of the media that's still treating this like a neck-and-neck race, despite the fact that one of the candidates was all but mathematically eliminated from it about a month and a half ago?

98 percent of the media is also shallow, lazy, and obsessed with identity politics. I'd have a lot more respect for you if you tried to balance that out, rather than devoting a column to taking Keith Olbermann to task for making an unfortunately phrased reference to Beyond the Thunderdome.
