He is caught in his own paranoid fantasy bubble (& that of Cheney). The ignorant tactics used did not result in good intelligence, as the tortured would do anything to stop the pain. While they were horrible in and of themselves individually, the stimultaneous combination of several methods put them beyond the pale. They did everything they could to circumvent the larger legal & citizen community, deliberately limiting rulings to their own small circle, knowing that what they were doing was wrong!

There is nothing but comtemptous sneering in this household for Bush, Yoo, Addington, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Gonzales, Libby and Rice.

AG Holder & President Obama may have much more on their plates at this point, but I trust that their sense of justice and honor will eventually put all of the above in jail or at least shine some bright lights on it. A jail with rats crawling around. Maybe I'm naive!

BTW - read Ms Mayer's book for a picture of this whole mess - I believe it is coming out in paperback shortly.

They can be ignored and not followed up on. With authors and web sites rightfully trying to protect their ideas and in many cases livelihoods, they are the proper way to acknowledge the sources of research. Actually, they signal thoughtful, proper investigation, not just spouting off of diarrhea of the mind, such as Limp-baugh does.

Suggest you skim/read the entire piece and then go back to investigate/know learn more.

Another concern is that airline personal such as pilots & maintenance crew & traffic controllers are pushed beyond reasonable limits.

......we haven't flown since Sept 10 2001. We now fear the Bush administration and the above stupidity, more than OBL. As has been observed by others, Osama is sitting in his reinforced cave/mud hut, cackling with laughter. The neo-cons were conned by Osama & Sadam, who knew how to play poker better than Cheney.

This from the gang that set up the THEATRICS of aircraft landings off CA, a NYC convention to celebrate 9/11 & terrorism/fear, and flyovers of Katrina. They've had 8 years to provide solutions to problems, instead we'll get more of the McSAME ole balloon drops & purple bandages, and restricted audiences.

The point of the post is the Republicans are out of gas, but not hot air, and are realizing they blew it. Some of us now fear 4 more yrs of Republican rule, more than bin Laden.
